My Beagle is sad...

I'm not sure what to do with my Beagle parker... he definitely has his sad days. In fact, EVERY Sunday my wife and I refer to it as "Sad Sunday" for Parker. It's crazy how he seems to be so sad. We have 2 little ones so walking him every day is a challenge. He also has arthritis in one of his legs. Which is probably contributing to it. I used to play ball with him every day, but that is how he hurt his leg so now I'm hesitant to do so. Although he loves it!! Has anyone out there experienced this with their dog? More specifically with their Beagle?

Actually I have. My dog Sherman who is a bassett hound experienced the same thing, however, he would be very upset every time the entire family was away from home. Come to find out he was lonely and the cat we had was not enough company for him. We actually ended up buying another dog to keep him company. This worked out perfect for him. Although, there does seem to be times when he is ready to hurt his little sister.
