It has been almost five months since we welcomed 2010. I must admit that the going has not really been smooth with the economy still slow. It's not rough either but just enough to make ends meet, at least for me. To everyone here in myLot how has it been for you?

I would say my 2010 was starting off well due to we had a large lay off in December of 2009 and I was not on the list. But then came February and I was on the list, but good for us they gave us plenty notice and my last day with severance pay is June 30th. It did not bother me too much at first as I knew that if anything happened to my job I would move back home. About two weeks ago it did finally caught up to me that I will be unemployed, although I will get unemployment. I am moving 2000 miles and to make the move easier I am selling all my belongings, which is not a big deal, as it is replaceable. But since I have two cats and can't have them both go with on the long road trip, well, giving up one of them last week was the hardest thing I had to do. It is like losing a kid. The economy is coming along and I am not scared of the future, I will just deal with it. Matter in fact, I love a good challenge. So how have I been, just peachy.

Hi KarissaAngel! I just love the optimism in you. You are such a brave lady. Sorry to hear about losing one of your cats. I hope you find what you look for in your new home and have all the luck in the world. Thanks for dropping by! :) By the way where are you moving to? Have you thought of what you would do? Are you coming back? All the best anyway!

Tomitomi, Actually I am heading back home to Oregon. Presently reside in Oklahoma. So it will be a nice road trip. My mother is flying here to ride back with me. I have been away from home for 15 years so my family is real excited that I have decided to come home. I miss Oregon, although I love Oklahoma. Easy to live here. I know that I will take the rest of the summer off, but still look for a job. Oregon's economy is getting a bit better but I don't think I will have trouble finding a job, even a temporary one until I find what I want. I also have in mind to go back to school to get certified to be a non-medical home care caregiver. I am not sure if I will come back to reside in Oklahoma again but I will come for visits, I met some really good people here. Thanks for your nice comment on me, appreciated. All the best to you too.

Karissa! Words speak a lot about a person. Yours has that spark to brighten up someone's perception on life. The positives you perceive is just great to me. As you have met some really good people in Oklahoma I'm sure you would continue to do so in Oregon. Your mom, your family are very lucky to have you back home after all these 15 years. You deserve the best of luck! :)

It's been fine. I'm still treading the previous path but i hope this time i get to my destination. It had been tough in the past but i hope everything would go smoothly this time. I don't wanna go through all the mess again but if i had to i'll be ready for it. :)

It has been a roller coaster for me. There are so many times that I've cried so hard that I almost lost the will to survive but at least I was able to surpass those. On happy days, my jaws almost break out of laughing so hard.
