My ophthalmologist told that when we work on the computer we tend to forget the little bit of reflex blinking. This causes some kind of dryness. Therfore he prescribed some drops, (which I have not used so far). When working with the computer I use some glasses which are meant to make you feel comfortable. They are called 'crocodile' glasses. I feel somewhat OK with them.

Sorry for the late response. The eyedrops prescribed are lubricant eyedrops. The brand name is 'MOSS', manufactured by Syntho Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., Lucknow, India. I have not so far used the drops, though. Better check with your Ophthalmologist and get the right prescription rather than risking your eyes. Happy mylotting.

Yeah, that happened to me too. There was a time I had to work for 10 hours straight in front of the computer... I ended up getting constant migraines after that. I went to the eye doctor and she told me that long-term exposure to the computer monitor can really fatigue the eyes because it is not used to that kind of light intensity for long hours. She prescribed me anti-glare glasses to ease the tension on my eyes. Have been using it ever since whenever I'm on the computer.

Hmm.. I bought mine here in the Philippines for 800 pesos, which is about $17. The cheapest she offered me was about $500 ($10). I'm not sure though how much that would be in India...

Yes its obvious that eyes will be effected if used in front of monitors for hours, specially in dark. Me too gets eyes wet sometime due to it. But it cant stop me from using my laptop as i cant live without it. happy lotting....

I also faced eye irritation while working in the office continuously. Then I changed my monitor to LCD monitor.and also changed brightness and contrast settings in the monitor. By doing these, now I am not getting eye strain.

Ya I feel the same way you do. Actually I already got spectacles with the help of computer. For getting your eyes relaxed you must take break after each hour, and you must put your hands on your eyes and stay in dark for 3-5 minutes. It will make your eyes relax, just take my words and try it, I am sure you will feel good. And if possible go out and see the greenery, it will also help you much.
