Hi all readers, some people tried to celebrate "The Draw Muhammad Day" on 20th May,which had really shocked all the Muslims. Most of them had deleted their "Face Book" and "You tube" accounts and some Muslim countries had blocked these sites, causing big losses to them.In fact no sane and reasonable person of any religion will support such freedom of speech/action which can hurt sentiments of any person or community.Muslims are required to love and respect all Prophets of God including Jacob,Mosses and Jesus(all pbuh).Such freedom of speech/action should be used against all evils/vices.What do you think about it ??

Thanks for your real sentiments. Our religion wants us to respect and love all the Prophets of Allah Almighty including Jacob,Moses and Jesus(all pbuh). We can not even think of doing such things with them......and what these people are doing?Still they claim to be more educated and civilized !!

Yes, I fully agree with you. Freedom of speech is being violated frequently by some people who think that they can speak anything even if it hurts the sentiment of people. Even most illiterate, uneducated people respect the feelings of other. We should not do anything which hurts other in any manner. Religion is a pure personal matter and anybody can choose any religion to follow and we should not be concerned about it. Such people are simply showing the world 'their mean and nasty attitude' to others.

Thanks for responding and sharing your nice views. They just have hidden hatred for Islam, therefore they do not want to see it grow at a faster space.

Right after this occurred I read an article about Pakistan blocking the entire Facebook site because of this. Only the leaders thought this was the right thing to do - ban the entire site. The individuals interviewed thought it was an overreaction and harmful to their own people. This looks to me like the leaders of these countries are more concerned about this issue than their own people are; and, it appears that they do not believe that their people have enough brains to beable to decide if something is offensive or not; and then, decide whether to visit or not visit those individual web pages or the entire site on their own. No one forces people to go to any site or web page, they decide to do this themselves; so, let them "protect" themselves if they wish to. To me, a better reaction would have been to organize a draw Jesus day, or draw the Pope day, etc. But, that's right, other people understand a joke is nothing more than a joke and they would probably join in instead of being "offended".

People are just trying to get you and other Muslims upset because they know it enrages your religion so easily. I'm just telling it like it is. Drawing pictures of religious figures can not expect to be stopped. Its freedom of expression. I can understand getting upset if someone draws an offensive picture of Muhammad, but not drawing any pictures I don't understand. What I also don't understand is the violent actions from others when someone draws a picture of Muhammad. What I would say about the violent actions is just chill out and don't let things bother you so easily to those type of people. There's many beautiful paintings of Jesus that I like and admire.

Thanks for your comments. In our religion, drawing pics or making idols of any living things is prohibited. Most of these pics are offensive, just making fun of our holy Prophet(pbuh).......then celebrating a day and encouraging all people to draw such pics was certainly unwanted. This is all due to the Islamophobia.People do not want that Islam should be the fastest growing religion in this world. But they can not stop its pace by doing such things.

I know that, particularly in the United States, we have certain freedoms, but there are some times when discretion is the better form of valor. Though I don't agree with Islam and many times think they are extreme, I know how I feel when Jesus Christ is maligned or mocked, so I should show Muslims the same respect I would wish people would show to Jesus.

freedom of speech is used many times i remember for evil things ... for me no one have right to speak with the words by which people may get hurt never.. if we are fighting cuz of the different religions then there is one thing which is called humanity i am not blamming some particular person or group but there are bad fishes in the ponds of good people, i have came across many great people around the globe because of few idiots which dont know the difference b/w peace and war they do it ...facebook is one of them right now

God grants us all freedom of speech. Shouldn't we as well?????? On the other hand, actions that hurt others make people angry. I have found that angry people rarely listen. If we are to teach and learn from each other, this is a bad choice. We are all meant to THINK!!!
