Time to pamper myself!

I'm always busy trying to find ways to earn a little extra cash or writing articles until it feels like my fingers are going to bleed. A few minutes ago, I decided, before I go to work, I am going to take some time out for ME. That's right I am going to be a little selfish, I'm planning a nice bath, a facial, possibly a manicure and a pedicure, if I have time. It has been quite stressful in my home with all the problems that have happened and now with family arriving from all over. I need a little down time. We have so much going on right now, I don't think I can actually handle anything else. So, I am going to do something that might help me re-group and make me feel better. Okay, so I hope. Do you take personal time for yourself, do you take a nice warm bath or anything to help just melt all your cares away?

Most of us forget to give some time for ourselves because we prioritize our work but sometimes it is a must for us to pamper our own selves. We need to relax and lighten the stress we have for a week because of work work work. For me, I always make sure to have a massage twice a week but sometimes once a week if I am loaded with work. If I have enough time I go for a body scrub and facial partnered with manicure and pedicure. I guess this is just a small treat for myself for all the stress of work and less sleep.

We do forget and that isn't good. We need to learn to be selfish once in a while.

Keeping busy is always good for everything. In fact you are engaged in some or other work. But not to the extreme. As humans we become tired and also feel stressed. We also have certain limitations of handling work, and when we feel tired we have to rest. This is by nature. After many years of this experience now I am taking one hour of my time. Exclusively my time. No mobile contacts (switch-off),enjoy music for 20-25 minutes, think for developments in life and have a good shower. This is the schedule I have fixed up.

I have noticed that the more I do, the better I feel. I don't exercise like a lot of people, cleaning and moving around creating things are part of my normal exercise.

I always do! Life becomes so much more difficult when I don't allot some fun time for myself. Right now I'm working on mylot, but I'm also playing some games on Facebook at the same time. When it's pay day I treat myself and my boyfriend in a nice restaurant. I also buy some stuff that I like. I call these my "rewards" for working so hard.

You are right, life has become quite difficult and stressful. In a lot of ways I think all the technology that has been developed has made it more difficult on us to settle down and find ways to relax.

There are times when i just wanna take some time and relax. Just sitting and relaxing without any noise to disturb me. It's all i need to recharge my body and mind. Listening to slow music can also help too. Sometimes i watch my favorite shows while relaxing. It takes away the stress. :)

I have tried sitting without any noise, didn't work for me, I noticed that I had a tendency to fidget more. Although soft music does work pretty good.

Oh, I try, but I then get a 100 ideas running in my head for crafts, writing stories or articles and such. It is a never ending cycle for me. Like right now, I am trying to figure out the budget for the week and hoping I can take care of everything.

I used to get a massage at least once a month in the Philippines. This spa that me and friends go to has a 'buy one, take one' promo so it's really cheap. A regular siatsu is only P300 since there's a promo so we only pay P175 each. Even manicures and pedicures are inexpensive. A salon near our apartment has a package of manicure, pedicure, hand spa and foot spa for P300 only. When converted, that would be less than $7. How I miss home. Haaay...

That must have been nice. Massages can be rather expensive though. I have had one before. It has been over 6 years though. Maybe I need to save up for another one. Gosh that would be so nice to have someone working those tired muscles of mine.

Of course, it is essential to take time out for yourself! You have to make sure you have time to relax and to pamper yourself when you want to - a bath with lots of nice smellies or reading a novel (my favourite way to relax!), watch a film, that kind of thing. We all lead busy and stressful lives, so need to ensure we take a break sometimes.
