I need help. My two dogs got into my neighbors yard, little to my knowledge brought home more pets. They are now flea infested, and are now all over my house. I have done the flea bombs, treated the dogs, done the flea spray on the furniture and they just seem to be getting more and more! I am about ready to just move from my home and leave everything behind! I don't know what else to do. Can somebody please give me some advice that will work? This has never happened before. The dogs are fine now, to an extent, but my house is not. The never ending cycle seems to be going on right now, animals to furniture, etc. I have quarantined them but I miss them . What can I do?

Get the Advantage drops that you put on the dogs. These are very effective. Or you may want to try Lavender Oil. Someone was posting here a couple of days ago about it and how effective it was. You have to break the life cycle of the flea in order to control them. So if you are using a basic flea bomb and spray then you are getting no where becuase they keep hatching. I know there used to be a product by Zodiac that would kill not only the fleas but also the eggs. You can also try flea traps. Since fleas are attracted to heat, you plug these traps into a low wall socket. They have a light bulb like a night light and the fleas jump towards the heat of the bulb and get stuck on sticky trap paper.

Thank you very much, that is something I will try. I know the flea bomb that I did use said it will not get rid of the eggs but it will stop them from re producing. So I know I have to do it again, but in the time being it is driving me nuts. Thank you so much for your reply.

you must treat your yard or outside your house too. If not everytime your dogs go outside they will carry fleas inside.

Thanks, I have treated the house, the yard and the dogs all in the same day, about 3 times already.

when bugs and fleas take over a home in florida they tent the house and an exterminator pumps in smoke according to what you want killed or they pump in a chemical that kills everything, takes a few days and you have to wash all plates and silverware etc, and make sure all furniture is covered before hand. you just cant treat the animal you have to treat both at the same time, most store bought fles sprays and bombs dont work because their not big enough to get in every nook and crany in a home, attic space etc. you need to call a professional exterminator.
