Could you still manage to put a SMILE???

You wake up early in the morning, with apprehension that you might get late for the very important meeting scheduled. Although you didn't gt proper sleep last night you shrug off the idea and are really anxious for the day ahead. The moment you step in the bathroom you find that there is no toothpaste left. The shower is taking forever to bathe you. You somehow manage to get out of the house and see that the car door is jammed. You acrobatically try to sneak in through the front window and are really headed fast to reach "the" place. There is a traffic snarl at the flyover. God knows why? You barge into your meeting room and then you finally realize that you forgot to carry your pendrive. At lunch you are a hot topic and everybody seems to discuss about you. Even strange faces stare at your clumsy hands holding the fork. Finally the outcome of the meeting is declared and the result is something which carries no prize for guessing. You take the rest of the day off, and want to wander somewhere away. Watching some light hearted film and puffing your lungs out and suddenly you hear the alarm bell ticking. You just woke up fresh and realize that you were just in a bad dream! GOSH! Could you manage a smile at that very instant?? Have you ever been so anxious?

OMG!! It is just a nightmare...If such things goes on happening regularly, then you may lose your job..I am really sad to hear that.. You may do one thing. Take a break and visit some quiet place like a mountain or something. And don't think negative. It will help. Try to note down things that you do regularly in a notebook,it will help you to remember small things like that of "no toothpaste" situations(In fact it never happens with a girl.) or the pen drive. You may set reminders in a cell phone. As those are very important stuffs...

Well a man is never perfect without a woman's intervention I guess. No matter how hard these poor creatures try. Pity Well, I don't have to fear of losing my job, but its a different story altogether, hehehehe. Thanks for your advise though, dear friend.

Hi Bodhi, What a day. Yes. I had several experiences being so anxious. for a while i really can't smile being in that situation but i need to recover fast as it will not do any good to me. Lokking back, i will have the power to smile and say to myself---that's life...this is life as i pat my own shoulder.

hi Msfrancisco, pat my own back? Well I need to do that more often than not as I guess nobody seems to be interested in doing that to me hehehehe Even if its for real I cannot undo the things so I need to look forward and let it out of my system. Thanks friend!

hi bodhsatya yes finally when I realize that all that happened really was a bad dream I can even laugh. At my age I have learned not to sweat about it, as it was just that, a stupid dream. One day while still in our old apartment I woke up late, suddenly realizing I had an appointment at the physical therapy place for my left shoulder. While I was still dressing the access bus pulled up behind my place.I asked my son to tell him I would be there as soon as I finished dressing. ten minutes to my ten o clock appointment. okay we go out onto the street and immediately saw the whole darned street was being dozed up to make a new street but an earth mover was smoothing one side . they let four cars at a time onto the wrong side so finally we got onto the street, and we only had nine blocks to go .The access bus driver pulls behind the building and I am right at the entry door so get into an elevator and am right at the right suite. Walk in and I say, Hi I am sorry Ian half an hour late. she smiles, looks at her appt. book," Mrs. Hatley, you are a day early. your apppointment is not until tomorrow at ten." I sputter," but it says right here on the appt. slipe you gave me, Tuesday 10 am." " yes indeed tuesday" she laughs." today is only monday." I glance at my watch again. squint at the little day of month and date "oh my gosh I am so sorry all along I thought it was Tuesday."So then I have to wait for an hour for the access bus to come by. another access bus pulls in ,not my bus though, but he helps me by phone the driver of the bus that is due to pick me up in an hour. So the bus driver is there in five minutes and we are on the way to my apt. Get there , just as a gas meter reader comes to my gate, he has a bill," maan you are behind in your gas, I have to shut it off unless you can pay me 30 dollars." So I dig out my check book.Make a check out and have seven dollars left. give him the check look at what is in my billfold, walk back down the street two blocks to circle K and buy some gum, then make debit withdrawal of six dollars.leaving me five dollars after my purchase. so now I have five dollars and seventy cents for the bus tomorrow. at least I am thankful that my social security check will be in tomorrow.

How is your left shoulder now dear Ms. Hatley? I guess it was a frozen shoulder... Yup sometimes we make some real goof up's and when we come to realize it it becomes a reason to laugh at our own-selves. Finally everything was ok the following day at therapist's I guess. Bodhi

Whew! That was close! Good thing it was just a dream. You should see me grinning from ear to ear. If it could have happened in real life, well, I guess you might as well smile after going through all those because you can no longer change the past and no use crying over spilled milk, right?! Just make sure that you the right thing next time so as to avoid it from happening all over again. Over wise, the same mistake will happen.

Hi Atv, I am so glad that I could manage to bring a smile to you. Yup I would be very cautious not make that dreadful dream turn into reality!

I think I can't manage to give even a grin from that kind of dream especially if that was something that can affect the things that I need to work on for the day. A smile when I woke up won't even make me optimistic on the things that might really happen. I would definitely feel more anxious If I had that weird dream

Awww.. Did I upset you in any way? I am sorry if I did. But good thing is it was just a bad dream and you can be cautious not to ruin anything that is to happen later in the day. I guess, when we are into some kind of troubled sleep and dreams we are being like fore warned to be more cautious and attentive. Have a great time and smiles to you

Yes I can say for certain that I have... in dreams and in reality, and I hate being anxious about stuff. Only a few nights a go I had a dream that had me waking up late, so my son was going to really late for school, and getting to the car for it not to start, then I woke up half our earlier than I needed to and did have a smile but I think more for relief than anything else lol although I was annoyed at the fact I could have slept an extra half hour :)... I hate rushing around at the best of times so it really was a good thing that this was just a dream :)

Yeah some dreams just seem to sweep you away, don't they? I bet you managed to get that extra half hour sometime later that day.
