I dont think there is much difference what age you get married, its all about the individual... i can tell you i am not married but my boyfriend is 19 years older than me, and it does not worry us at all, so i'm not sure there are many advantages or disadvantages that I can think of.

I cannot see any advantages. The biggest disadvantage is the loss of freedom. When you are married most of your freedom goes out of the window because now you are tied to another person, and you are tied to what that person wants, and for women, this is usually much worse. Women have to, majority of the time, change their names, and many people have no idea how difficult this can be for most women to have to let go of their family name. If her husband has a great job, or a demanding parental unit, then you have to move to where your husband moves to. Getting married is not always the greatest thing in the world. For many people in my family, especially women, marriage is nothing, but heartache and Hell.
