It seems to me, people who got paid less, they have to do more physical work, and miscellaneous workload. While people who got paid more, they have more leisure time everyday of their work. People who got paid more, they have more time to chat on cellphones; taking longer break; and they even have time to play card on their computers; or jogging around the neighborhood after lunchtime. Once, we have to finish a "Shop order" early, before the pick up truck will be here before 2:00 P.M. We even take a shorter lunch time to finish the shop order, but we are waiting for the paperwork to pass down on Quality control. While everyone was anxious about it. We go up to the cubicle check on that lady who responsible for the paperwork. Surprisingly, she was playing card on her computer. I just have to tell her in a nice tone, everything is ready, the truck is here, we just need her paperwork to be done. Is that fair?

A good example of this is where I work. My boss gets paid more. She takes breaks whenever she wants. She'll take an extra lunch because she can. She sits in her office all day on the internet or on the phone with her friends. When it comes to doing real work around the place, she has us do it. We haul the big boxes, we set up the shelves, we stock the shelves, we do the cleaning. We also do all the foot work. I work up a sweat when I work. Meanwhile my boss is eating a cheeseburger and chatting on her cell phone. She spends so much time sitting down that she broke the office chair. Sure I know she has to be doing something work related in that office. But we actually have someone else to do the paperwork and payroll so I'm not sure what she does... I like to think not all places are like this. But I sadly see it everyday.

That would seriously frustrate me if my boss is like that. I've had coworkers wo are like that though. They slack off and still get paid the same amount of money per hour as me. I feel like life is unfair that way, but what can you do about it? :(

Sadly I can't do much about it. I don't want to lose my job so I still work my butt off. Hopefully I find a better job somewhere along the way. But until then I'll just accept it.

my husband's job is a perfect example of your title. he's to expose to the sun, travels everyday, lift heavy merchandise and do paper works when he gets to the office. their supervisors get to have the nicest car as service while they have the oldest and depraved. i got more complains because i really think they or people who sacrifices and works harder for the company should be given what they really deserve. no wonder more of my countrymen choose to work abroad

I agree. I feel like people who work hard DO DESERVE to get paid more or get given more benefits. That's how it should work. If you do your work, good. If you do great work, get rewarded for it. If you barely work, you get penalized for it. Why do companies do nothing about slacking employees?

Hi Kingparker Tbats true to a certain extent people who get paid less usually do more physical work but thats the case with most blue collar workers when you get up in the pay scale the work load becomes more of a mental thing than physical. The stress that white collar ,CEO,Exectutives, Chairmen of the Board ect.. have a higher mental stress level because they are responsible for the employees Also everyone has a boss unless you own your own business but none the less even if you do own your own business or are the boss of a corporation you still have to answer to somebody down the line at some point.

So, I guess these stresses deserve that extra hour break, and extra workout, also extra coffee time and chatting time on the phone with their friends to relief all these stresses at the moment right? Understood! That is another way to explain it.

Once, a very dear friend told me: stupidity is paid with tiredness. He was crude when saying that but years later I know exactly what he meant. We need to be smart so we don't have to do labor works. We need to educate ourselves, we need to learn from our supervisor, we need to improve in ourselves so we can take our supervisor or manager position one day. The issue here is "Learn" NOT "Complain". Those people in higher position is paid for their "Brain" NOT "Brawn".

It happens....it's the life. I feel we should never compare our life with others', because we are ourselves. I feel once you accept a job, no matter how much you get paid, you should do your 100% for it. Never feel jealous about the lazy life of others. Because when they don't use the time to do their job well or waste the time to do something useless, it's a waste of their own life.

Hi Kingparker... In todays world workloads for different types of people is sometimes dependent on their rank and level of education. As you go to the top of the ladder or as someone is promoted. they tend to have lesser manula type of work and more focused on the supervisory one. also for the more educated ones, they tend to land on jobs that are less manually labor requuired but more of the intellectual side. Please also take note that althought they are much inclined to intellectual work, they still experience the same management presure or maybe greater pressure than you do.

All workers, including the people who are working on their brains are paid less in my country..After all it is not a first world country. And the payment procedure totally based on the economy. You are absolutely right. The workers specially, one who is doing a straining stressful physical work is paid the least. It also include the factory workers who work in shifts, including the night shifts.. Not doing the work is another thing. One must protest if there is any lazy people around who is holding a important position in a office.

Nope. It is fair. You do all the job but your boss takes all the responsibility for what ever happens to the organization and perhaps, she too, came from the bottom position or studied hard in order to get a stable position.

You can say that again! I feel the same way. I get to work a lot and I get paid with a very small amount of money. I wanted to have my job now as a career but I think its not possible to have it that way. Its easy for employers to do this and that but they dont understand the feeling of working hard because we work for them so they would get richer and richer and employees poorer and poorer.
