video cam or digital cam

I am looking into buying a camcorder but I'm having second thoughts because I don't know if it would be better if I bought a digicam instead.
I don't have much budget so I can't buy both. What do you suggest?

i have both, but i use the digicam more than the handy cam. just make sure you buy a digicam that can also take videos. and find something that is AVI. if the video is avi then it is playable on the pc and it is easy to upload on youtube... if you want to put it there. so since you are in a budget then i suggest you buy a digicam but with good pixel and can take a video.
