Forgotten and "shipwrecked" tasks at myLot : what can we do ?

I have a 5 cents task pending at myLot since more than 3 months now ! It is ridiculous, isn't it, to wait three months for 5 pennies ?
It was an easy "post a comment and click" task and I did it honestly. The "employer" has been contacted by myLot one month after, but the task is still "pending"...
Microworkers has a good rule : when a task is "forgotten" and not rated by an employer, it is automatically closed by the system after 168 hours (seven days) and rated "satisfied".
Have you been "forgotten" too by a task employer ? Voluntarily or by accident ?
What can be done to save these shipwrecked tasks at myLot ?

I don't do the tasks here...yet I was wondering....is payment strictly between you and the task writer? Isn't the compensation put safely in an account here. You have been waiting a month...wow...what is to stop this individual from coming back and doing it again?

Hi workingmom,
I have done four easy tasks here : three were paid in less than 24 hours. This last one was given by another employer and has a "pending" status since three months ! I asked myLot after one month about this anomaly : they contacted the employer, but the task is still "pending".
It is only 5 cents, but I got a good experience, and I think that the tasks need some adjustments at myLot to avoid such behaviors. It is not good for myLot too : I stopped to do tasks here after this one.

As far as I know (although I have not created a task), the task creator has to put the money to pay for the tasks aside in an account, so that the money to pay for the tasks is guaranteed to be available. Then, when tasks are approved, the money instantly shows up in the account of the person that successfully completed the task rather than having to wait for the funds. Of course, if the tasks are never approved or rejected, then they just hang in limbo somewhere, but I am not sure what happens to the funds that were put aside for these tasks.

I had two pending tasks for a while. I contacted myLot and was told that there was a glitch and to give it a week and if I still had not received payment then I should contact them again. I waited the appropriate amount of time and still had not received payment, so I contacted myLot again. I received payment on one of the tasks within a few days of when I contacted myLot the second time, but the other task is still pending, and it has been four months or more since I completed this task. I guess it is about time to contact myLot again regarding this issue, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Topffer, I agree that there should be a maximum time limit that a task creator has to approve or disapprove a task. After that time, all tasks should automatically be approved, so that they are not left pending for months at a time.
You are right that we can't point out the person or people that are doing this, but it really is ridiculous, and I kind-of think that other people should be warned about task creators that do this on a regular basis, so that they do not waste their time completing tasks that they will never get paid for.

Hi purple !
Thanks to share your pending tasks problems. I don't understand why a reasonable limit to approve or reject a task is not fixed by myLot ? the 7 days of max pending status after a task at Microworkers is good : I had a task automatically approved like that, and all my tasks have been for the moment 100% approved at Microworkers. Here, with four tasks done, only 75% are approved because of the bad behavior of an "employer".
I wanted to point the problem in this discussion. I know, it is rude to point for 5 cents
