Hi friends, I'm sorry, but I am born and raised Canadian. But I have no idea what this G8 or 20 Summit is. It is happening in June here in Toronto. There is such a fuss about it. We're apparently spending almost a billion dollars on security. That certainly makes me uneasy. How crazy is this thing. I guess this is what I get for never paying attention to politics. I always close my ears. Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks Cheryl

Don't worry, you're certainly not alone. I'm a born and raised Canadian, and I don't really understand this G20 and G8 summit thing. I've certainly heard of it, from the news, but I don't entirely understand what it is. So don't feel bad.

it is the meeting of the top percentage of the world economy. They will talk about anything but sometimes accomplishes little. well security is needed because even if some sort of event can endager the world economy. it is like a little un but for rich countries only.
