Hair Dye

Hi hmkoct5, I dye my hair all the time to cover up the grey but even before I was grey I used to experiment with different colours from blue, red green, in fact I will upload a pic of me last year with my hair pillow box read. Huggles Ellie :D

I have used hair dye before but only the stuff that washes out after a few weeks. When I did it it was about the same shade my hair is naturally so there wasn't much difference. The reason for doing it was that I have a grey streak, my sister calls it the Curella DeVille stripe. (from 101 Dalmations) Now I don't worry about it anymore as it is just too much trouble and I have grown fond of my stripe.

My dratted hair started going gray before I was 25, so I have been coloring it for longer than I have not been coloring it. Right now it is a lovely shade of dark auburn. My eyes are hazel, but there's eye makeup that I can wear that makes them look pretty green.

Yes, i use to color my hair & many other's hair to. I was a hairdresser for 47 years. The word dye is not a favorite word w/hairdressers, lol.

My hair has been several different colors throughout the years. I was a blond for a long time, tried several shades of brown, went through my auburn and redhead stage and even had a violet color for a little while. I don't color my hair anymore though because I'm older now and my hair is more sensative.

I have gotten highlights before. My mother did them for me. We bought a box from Walmart; a nice copper color. Unfortunately, my mom put too much on one side of my hair so it looked kind of weird. I would like to dye my hair either a dark red or deep purple. (:

i will try typing this once again. i've currently gone from a sandy blonde to near black. i like it this way as well, no one reckonised me when i first had it done. but i've colouring my hair of and on since 94. most the time it's home done.

hi hmkoct 5 oh yes when I was engaged just before I got married I dyed my hair blond e to please my husband and he had a fit he said why did you do that to your pretty hair dye it back so I did. If I was going to do that now I would dye it pure white as its grey and I want it more silvery instead of just grey

Hey hmkoct! I didn't start dying my hair until I started really getting greys in! I must have been in my late 40's! Yeah, I was pretty luck! I have always had dark brown hair, almost black! I did try to lighten it up for awhile and hated it! So, I went back to the darker side!lol But, actually at my age dark brown is a bit to dark, but since I now color my hair at home it is even harder to lighten it up! But, I am still trying! All I want to do is color my roots, but lately it still comes out too dark! I just don't look good with my hair too light and at my age I shouldn't have it too dark either! Wish I could figure out what to do somewhere inbetween!

My hair got the hair dye some four months ago and it is of a golden brown color so I quite of like it this way, now it is fading slowly by slowly so I think by the end of this year I would dye again of maybe a different color.

I just dyed my hair recently. IT was my first time to dye my hair..I actually liked it...It was color brown-red..

I once colored my hair in red... I switched again to black until my hair switched back to its normal color which is black with some sort of copper color... That would be nice if you choose green, it looks like grass lol... :

yeah, I used to dyed my hair way back when I was in elementary, I was just curious that's why I also dye my hair like my classmates does but it doesn't bring any good but in fact it ruins my hair, so sad! I think if I will dye my hair again I'll choose a good product that won't destroy my hair in any way..

i color my hair to hide the grays that have started to come out so i keep the color as my natural dark brown. i find coloring my own hair tiresome so i'm considering letting nature take its course and live the grays :)

I have dark blond/light brown hair. I've only dyed my hair a few times, and I've only dyed it a few shades lighter- Ash blond. I wanted to dye my hair darker, but I also think it would look a little weird.
