I am a church pastor for how many years. I started in pastoral at the age of 19 years old. I've been in the ministry for almost 20 years now. I have been struggling financially because we are not supported by any person or denomination. We just trust God to provide our needs daily. Everyday, I experienced the goodness of God. He has been providing our needs until now. He has blessed us with new house and lot and a second hand car of which we used in the ministry. We were able to put up a Christian children school. We do have feeding ministries, we provide foods for the poorest of the poor children. We sometimes help and send youth to school. and we have several young people now graduated in college and have their employment now. I am thankful to God because He is really the Jehovah Jireh- The Lord our provider. I believe God will provide your needs too as you keep trusting HIM as your source. The Bible says, "My God shall provide all your needs according to His riches in glory"

I salute those ministers who really work because of the ministry. Sad to say that there are ministers of the Gospel who when they are already in their comfort zone forget where they came from.I am not against a minster of the gospel who were blessed by God financially. What I am against is when they are using their ministry and the gospel for their own financial needs forgetting that God is the one who provides.

I am not in ministry but used to interpret sermons for a small Asian church. From my experience, the pastors who are supported by church/demonination are not nessesarily the most fruitful ones. I know of a few church pastors who don't have support from church/denominations but live solely on God's provision like you. Truly they struggle financially from time to time but as I can see they fare quite well just relying on God's blessings. On the contrary, some pastors receive financial support from church/demoniation but cannot fully concentrate on their ministry to the most needy ones because of complicated church administration/politics. Great to hear that you and your family clearly have God's blessings and provision; I am sure He will continue providing you with what you need, and your work will be remembered by God as well as those you have ministered to.

Thank you for that testimony and advice. I came here to myLot tonight with money on my mind. I want to be able to quit a job that seems to be bogging me down but I was worried about what to do about the money I would be losing. Jehovah-Jireh! Our Provider reigns.
