Hi Crisfannum1, welcome to mylot. Read carefully FAQ. There is no target, you can post as much as you can but it should be with good stuff. Read topics you will be knowing. Respond to the discussions if you can. Your responses should be related to the topic. Happy mylotting.

Yup, just don't scream "I LOVE BURGERS" when the topic's about relationships. You know? ++, Jotomy!

What you're doing is right. You posted a good topic, acknowledged the responders, basically made a good 'discussion'. Continue on this path, respond also to a lot of discussions made by other MyLotters. And use the search bar to find your interests.

P.S. - Basically just be active and have fun with it. As a beginner, the less I thought about the earnings the more it came. Try the tasks too. Not quite for me but good for a lot of people. Right now there are 8 pages of tasks that's very rare you should take advantage if you like writing articles.

The first thing to realise is that your earnings show up 24 hours later - they are not instant. This is because the earnings algorithm is complicated (and secret - we are not allowed to discuss it inaccurately) and is run daily. What you earned on a Monday, therefore, will not show up until Wednesday. You also have to remember that MyLot is based in Kansas, USA and so their time may be different from yours. Look at the bottom of any screen to see 'MyLot time'. We earn here ONLY from our own participation and the more descriptive you are and the better quality your responses, comments and discussions are, the more you will earn. Make sure that you have more than just a few words to say in response to a discussion. It is a waste of time to respond to discussions where you have little or nothing to say. When you start your own discussions, make sure that you word them in such a way that people are encouraged to write descriptive, relevant and interesting responses. The kinds of discussion that you should avoid are listed in the Guidelines and it's VERY IMPORTANT to read them thoroughly. Remember, also, that it doesn't matter how many responses you get, you will only earn once from posting a discussion UNLESS you also post good quality and descriptive comments on the responses! Don't forget that the meaning of 'discussion' is a conversation between two or more people: if you don't reply to what people have to say in your discussions, it's just a question and answer session! Discussions which are against the Guidelines or about things which are already answered in the FAQs will earn you nothing because they will normally be deleted. It is probably best to spend most of your time at first responding to other people's discussions. It doesn't matter whether you are the first person to respond or the 100th: you earn from what YOU have to say and the more you can think of that is relevant and descriptive and your own opinion and ideas, the better. Wow your post was incredible helpful to me and I have been here for a while now. Sometimes what happens with me is I will write a reply comment then as I continue reading through the other comments on the discussion then other ideas come to me and sometimes it I only have a little bit to say in reply to a comment. This information is very helpful for my future references when I am reading through the discussions and thinking about what my response is going to be. It really is not helping me when I am reading and posting when I am half way falling asleep. That is sometimes the reason that my post turn out a bit shorter. Being almost asleep I sometimes loose my focus or forget a thought and end up just ending the comment itself. Again I am really glad that you posted your comment so clearly and easy to understand. I am also glad to find out that it is possible to earn more even if it is only a few pennies more for more descriptive and relevant comments. Jen aka Kittykat7983

thanks so much for all your useful input fellow mylotters. It's really useful to get all this advice as I'm new to mylot too. Does anyone here have any experience of getting paid for posting photos cos it takes me a long time to do this but I'm not sure if it's really worth the time

hi crisfannum, I cannot give a definite number of post before you can get your payment here. When I started as a mylotter, I keep posting quality discussions. All of them are lengthy discussions. If I do not have much idea on the topic, I do not answer at all. Every time that I will be busy, I just started new discussions and then comment back once I have more time. That is what I always do even up to now.I got my first payment when my discussions reached not more or less than 200 post. However, do not be misled by my message that once you reached that number of post, you can get your payout. The one who referred this site to me had even more post. He had posted more than 700. He was working for so many months in mylot and reached the 700 post but still not getting his payout. I think, he got it when he almost have 800 post. He told me that he doesn't post quality discussion much. If ever he will start a topic and give back comments, he will just reply in one sentence. If that is what you will also do, you cannot earn faster.

Exactly! You can also earn more by doing task and referring people to join in mylot under your referral id. If they will be enjoying mylot and will be pretty active here, you can also get a commission on that. One more way to increase your earnings is through uploading photos and using mylot search button. The moment I learned about mylot search button, I always use it whenever I am looking for some information online. They give payments in an instant and you will see it on your earnings.

Thanks for the information about using the mylot search button. I have also uploaded photos before but I think I am going to add more. And as far as referrals goes I might do that in the future when I have some where that has people who I know might like to join mylot and participate in some of the great discussions I have found here. I also was participating in a discussion about blogging and submitting your blogs to mylot and so I am wondering do you get any extra earnings for submitting blogs or posting in blogs that are submitted here on mylot?? Also at one point I had gone to the games section and created a free account on there and was playing lots of games but I don't know if I ever did get any kind of credit for doing that or not. I spent quite a lot of time playing games on there and trying to get my account to the next level or whatever by playing the free games. I am just not sure exactly how the games thing works. If anyone has an answer for that for me that would be quite lovely. Thank you for your comments! Jen aka Kittykat7983

Well pick many things under interests that you like to talk about since it is very easy to talk about stuff that you like. Also you can make some money by using their search engine to look for stuff and I think they pay some money for posting pictures but I am not sure if they pay for each picture or if you have to post a set number of pictures.

Hi,Crisfannum1! You can earn money as soon as you respond to others' discussions. If you are the one who post the discussion, then you can't get any money until you get others' comments and also respond to their comments.Mylot is really a great site. And Mylot fellows are very nice, too. You can post your discussions or respond to discussions on any topic you like.Just choose more interests, then you can get a lot of updates and also see more discussions.Enjoy your time on Mylot! Have a nice day,my friend!Hope my explanation can do some help.

Hello! You will not see your earnings first 12 h! Earnings are updated every 12 h so be patient I would suggest to answer in more just one or two sentences, it will be good if you can write three or four lines, you will be credited more then. I have no idea how many topics you really would have to write till you get 10.00$ which is minimum payout but I hope that you will score it fast! Good luck!

Yeah,it's true. The first day I didn't see my payment update either. But the next day,I saw my payment had been updated.Wait for a few more hours. And yeah, the more descriptive your answer is,the more credits you will get.So try to make your answers more related to the topics and more detailed.Happy mylotting!

welcome to myLot! to get you started you should read the FAQs and try to feel your way into the site. there are a couple of ways to earn ehre in mylot. first of course is to start your own discussion. just make sure that there have been no previous discussions that have similar content as what you'll start. then you just keep on replying to other discussions. keep your answers simple, but not one-liners. quality is key here. use the search box too when looking for something voer the net. using it often will get you bonuses. then check the tasks section too - you can work on the tasks and earn from there as well. more than earning, hope you enjoy your "stay" here in myLot. cheers and happy myLotting!

honestly i'm a old newbie here..what do i mean, i had a mylot year ago but i wasn't able to pursue it because of work. now that im staying home and working almost 20 hours in front of computer, i went back here. at first all you have to do is find your interests and participate in discussions. for me, my lot is not just earning money but a site where i could get many connections and jobs. so happy mylotting and just be patient to see your earnings after posting.

Hi, I'm new too. Just signed up less than 24 hours ago. What I did at first was to add in some interests and to my surprise, lots of things came up on the home page. I have been constantly amazed by the topics people have come up with and they have expanded my knowledge and experience. Thanks to all you myLotters out there! I want to be earning money from this site too but I guess being too conscious of it is not too good. So, I will treat it like a site to make friends, learn things and improve my writing skills. lol.
