When I had my dog they were very close to me. For some you get attached to animals in some way, they find your heart, they can tell when you are in a sad mood because they give you this look with those puppy dog eyes, I had 2 pitt bulls but before my daughter was born we gave them back to the owner because the dogs where already grown and we didnt want to chance it, but when I was pregnant the female pit would stay under me no one could sit beside me or anything, she was very protective of me.
its like when you have animals, no matter what they are they find a way to make room for you to fit into their life they will never let you feel left out. Some of them let you are to spoiled and they act just like a baby when they want to especially the dogs who get dressed up those are the dogs that know they are cute, they got this look about them that says" ain't I a cutie" but tell me about you all dogs and why they are your bestfriend.

My dog is my best friend for two reasons. The first reason is because she ALWAYS IS HAPPY to greet me when I come home. The second reason is that I can tell her anything and she won't tell a soul. (:

LOL, yeah thats funny yeah you can tell your dog everything but they wont tell nobody, But they will go and tell their friends, lol. they do that dog talk. I do agree that they do make you feel welcome and when you feel alone they make you feel more comfort at heart. Thats why they call them man best friend.

Hi walking, I know what you mean about protective dogs. We used to have a Malamute Husky X and he was very protective of my Mom. It was her dog. Very beautiful one too and smart!
I have one of those ones that says "ain't I a cutie" and she sure is. I got her in August 2008. She was neglected and previously abused. i got her at 15 months of age. She came out of her crate, came over to me, out of two others and licked my chin before proceeding to crawl onto me and put her head on my shoulder. What a sweetheart. I figure because she had a tough life prior to my owning her, she is just so very grateful, therefore is the reason she is so well behaved. She is a Yorkie, Shitz Tzu, Maltese X. 6.5 pounds and adorable. Looks completely Yorkie and yes she wears the cute cloths but most all are practical. Rain coats, sweatshirts, sweaters, winter coats, snow suit, boots for winter and open toed sandals for summer, along with her doggles, sun hat and sun dress. I spare her from wearing a bathing suit. Way too hot. These dogs don't have an undercoat so when I am cold she is cold, when I am hot she will be hot. Cloths are critical in the colder temperatures. Keeping her cool in the summer is a task.
She is a special little dog and of course my very bestest friend. She is always up for fun, walks, play, snuggles, naps and more. She continues to practice her manners and learning tricks. I got Roxy because my parents are getting older and she will see me through what I suspect is going to be the hardest time of my life.
A beautiful little dog, with many expressions, some attitude, sometimes a mind of her own where she acts a bit stubborn but loving. Not one aggressive bone in her body. She loves little kids and babies. She loves everyone. I think she like people more than she likes other dogs but likes them too, cats, rabbits, birds and more.
Taking long walks with her is our favorite activity. She adores to explore but her belly rubs and back scratches while she falls asleep are her all time favorite.
Thanks for the discussion.

My father is a dog lover. We have had many dogs as pets. There was one dog which stole my heart, she was very cute and obedient.Very close to me. Would listen and obey. I couldn't bear her loss. After her I didn't go for another pet.
