Yes, I know how to drive. At first, I was like you too, I was afraid to drive in the highway. But I tried so hard to face my fear and still drive in the highway, it wasn't easy of course. I live in a province with narrow streets with no much traffic and big buses so I can't really exactly understand how you feel. What I did was have someone, who is really good in driving, ride with me, so that he/she could guide me. It's important to really face your fear so that you will learn, it will be a great feeling when you have faced your fear already.

Hi, About driving a car, yes indeed I am very nervous and afraid to drive a car. I am 29 years old and I still don't have my driver's license. I have tried to drive shortly a car twice in my life, once at 16 and once last year. I just don't like to get behind the steering wheel. I have a very good reason. When I was like 12 or 13, I survived a major car accident. We were 4 and a dog in our car. I was with my younger sister, my aunt and her husband and she was 8 month old pregnant. That evening, the roads were icy with a thin coat of snow and ice and there was two impacts. The first crash was a face to face crash, then a pick-up hit us from behind, so our car was destroyed. I felt horrible and were all yelling and we were injured. I had a fracture bone on my right leg, so I had difficulty to walk, it was painful. I lost consciousness and then woke up 2-3 minutes later inside of an ambulance. My sister had a small and minor injuries to her knee and my aunt had 2 broken ribs and her husband broke his right hand. In the other cars, 2 people were killed and 2 others severely injured. I was traumatized from this huge crash and still today I don't want to drive. When I get inside a car as a passenger, I get very nervous if the driver speeds or stops quickly, I hate it. I don't know if one day I will be ready for a driving course, but not for now. I will see one of these days if I am ready.

Yes, I know how to drive and I am not afraid of it.But yes, few years back when I started learning driving car, I was just like you.Scared and not confident enough to drive a car on my own.I get nervous when I see crowd or big vehicles coming towards my car, traffic jam was what I used to be afraid of but slowly I overcome my fear and what I used to do is I used to take my cousin along with me when I am driving, and if it is just a short distance drive then I somehow gather all my courage and would go alone and drive.Slowly I got over my fear. You can do it too!

hi reetu, well,i don't know how to drive my friend but i want to learn also. we have a family vehicle before that my father used to drive us wherever we go. but eventhough i want to learn how to drive, i never tried. well, i was so young back then and i'm just scared to drive also. but i have experienced holding the steering wheel with a guy next to me who is seated at the driver's seat.i just turn the steering wheel for him cause he was doing something.i am afraid when i was the one who'll drive specially at our village where the road is high or really down.it's like riding also in a bicycle when you are first time to learn it i guess.all of us have to learn not to be afraid sometimes to fight for what we aim to do.it just takes a lot of effort...
