how you protect you pc from any external device?

As now I am using USB disk security in my pc, as of this time for me that is the safest way to protect your pc from any external drive especially those that are being attached in a USB drives. Is there any other way that more safer than USB disk security? Please share.

Why would I want to protect my PC from my external hard drive? I have most of my files on my external hard drive and if I put in security to block it? Maybe I am not understanding what you are talking about.

What I mean is how to protect your pc from external drive, any drive that is being attached through Universal Serial Bus or USB. because most viruses are taken from an external drive aside from those viruses that was taken from the internet most viruses are from external drive.
