“Within thirty years, we will have the technological means to create superhuman intelligence. Shortly after, the human era will be ended,” said Vernor Vinge during VISION-21 Symposium sponsored by NASA Lewis Research Center and the Ohio Aerospace Institute, March 30-31, 1993. Does it mean that BCI (Brain-Computer Interfaces), Artificial Intelligence, or some other intelligence-enhancement technology will transcend the human condition? Since technology is the product of intelligence it means when intelligence is enhanced by technology, you've got transhumans who are more effective at creating better transhumans, who are more effective at creating even better transhumans. We have the examples. Cro-Magnons changed faster than Neanderthals, agricultural society changed faster than hunter-gatherer society, printing-press society changed faster than clay-tablet society, and now we have "Internet time". We have observed that once any race gains the ability to technologically increase the level of intelligence - either by enhancing existing intelligence or by constructing entirely new minds - a fundamental change in the rules occurs. What according to you will be humanities new place in this cosmos when this happens?

I am not certain, but I have read many places that we would not have to communicate via talking. And I am thinking many more electronically simulated items will be at our disposal. I saw the movies Gamer and The Surrogates, they were both based on a hologram being something available for one to obtain. Then the person controlled them in a virtual world. It was actually very disturbing. It is something I would not want to be a part of. But being able to communicate telepathically would be kinda nice, only if able to use with persons consent. I would not want people hanging out in my mind in my personal brain space.

I think I will show myself to be in busy mode if I do not want people hanging out in my mind

Vernor Vinge is a little optimistic, thinks I, about the possibility of creating artificial intelligence. As I understand it no-one has even a theoretical answer to one of the most basic problems, the frame problem, let alone more complex issues. Just as a side issue, I believe it has recently been discovered by genetic investigations that modern humans are a cross breed between Cro-Magnons and Neanderthals, a theory proposed by Stan Gooch more than 20years ago all the best urban

I don't think that in thirty-years human can create an artificial intelligence that can learn from inputs. It is an intelligence that we animals have when we where born. Human maybe too advance in 30 years, but not that advance.
