Why do you think facebook is so popular?

A lot of us are users of facebook.com. There are many applications and games embedded on this social networking site. There are also events and fan pages. We connect with friends, share sentiments, show pictures and videos and even just your simple thought. Many of us are active users of this social networking site. It has even surpassed the popularity of myspace.com and friendster.com.
Come to think of it, how many hours do you spend at facebook.com? That is why I really do wonder how it really spread so fast and how so many people are being addicted to it. What's so interesting about facebook.com that it is increasingly popular on all age groups? Share your thoughts.

Well, for me i spend about 4-6 hours on facebook almost everyday. I really like it coz you not only had the chance to chat with your friends online, you can also play games and get updated with what is happening everywhere.

Nice point. Yes, I also like that they have embedded chat application on their webpage allowing better interaction with its users. I also do like the games they allow. This things add up to its attraction to users.
