YES, YOU HEARD ME RIGHT...JAMES BOND WILL BE BACK!!!!
American novelist Jeffery Deaver, best known for The Bone Collector & his series of thrillers featuring forensic genius Lincoln Rhyme will be releasing another James Bond Novel on May 28, 2011. Mr Deaver has studied Ian Flemming's style for many, many years & it is anticipated that we will NOT be disappointed with his new novel. By the way, the release date would have been Ian Flemming's 103rd birthday. I purely LOVED Sean Connery as James Bond. George Lazenby truly SUCKED as Bond. I always loved Roger Moore & felt he was an adequate Bond, but NOT as good as Connery!!! I didn't care much for Timothy Dalton as Bond. He never exuded the PASSION of James Bond!!! Pierce Brosnan was reasonably good as he had the attitude, but he still left me feeling something was missing!!! Daniel Craig had the closest mannerisms to Sean Connery, but he left me feeling a little flat. Assuming this book will become a movie, it will be interesting to see who is chosen to play James Bond. I would LOVE to have Sean Connery pull Bond out of retirement & give us old folks one more THRILL!!!
Barry Nelson also played Bond in 1954, but I don't think I ever saw his version. I was only 4 at the time & my family hadn't bought their first television yet.
Are you excited that James Bond may be revived & who would you like to see playing the part of Bond???

Wow, that's good news! I have read all the Bond books and while it isn't exactly classical material they are very good reads! I, too, love Sean Connery and think he is THE James Bond.
Have you seen Jensen Ackles, the actor in Supernatural? I think he might make a good Bond. He can wear a Tuxedo with dash and he certainly has a lovely body. His face can be hard as stone but he has a lovely smile.
Although I've always liked Pierce Brosnan, I didn't think he did Bond justice.

Jensen played the HOTTIE Eric Brady on my favorite Soap Days of Our Lives from 1997-2000.
He could possibly play James Bond with class. Only problem is he doesn't look mature enough to own the Connery flare. I can say that I would ENJOY 2 hours of looking at him being SEXY though!!!
Ian Flemming had a certain flare for writing that hasn't been duplicated. I just hope Jeffrey Deaver has studied as hard as they are trying to sell us on!!!

Personally, in reality, James Bond will never die. He is a classic like others have stated here. I know I have seen many movies of James Bond and all the various actors. My most favorite all time is "Diamonds Are Forever." Have never read any of the books but interested to maybe try and see the latest Bond movie just to see if there ever can be a comparison.

I am not a huge fan of the James Bond books (haven't read any of them), but I am a HUGE Jeffery Deaver fan, so you can bet that I will be getting my hands on this new Bond book.
The new book has an official site as well:
