Has anyone tried this kind of oil? what are the benefits over canola or veggie oil? Cost comparison? variety of uses?

hi I used to use soy oil and canola and peanut oil too and olive oil olive oil smokes too easily while canola and soy and peanut oil all can stand higher heat. I think the benefits of all these are about the same, and have never seen too much difference in cooking with any of them.I think the three I mentioned are cheaper than olive oil but olive is the most healthy of all of them.olive is good in salads and in pastas but in frying you need to keep the heat down so it does not smoke. I do love the flavor the best of olive oil and its the very healthiest of them too.

Soybean oil is commonly called ‘vegetable oil’ It's a good oil as it is cheap, healthy(doesn't contain much saturated fat and has no choleseterol in it)and has a high smoke point. I use this for most cooking and Olive Oil for some dishes and salad dressings

Hi. 3SnuggleBunnies. I have never heard of soy cooking oil before. I know that soy is good for the heart. I know that anything that has soy in it, is considered to be very healthy for the body.

If you want the very best, it would easily be coconut oil. Not only is it high smoke point, but will not be de-natured like other oils that easily turn into trans-fats while frying, etc. Coconut oil has an indefinite shelf life, it's anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic & unlike many other oils, actually reduces cholesterol significantly. Some people have problems absorbing fats & oils due to bad pancreas / liver problems, etc. Coconut oil bypasses this problem by absorbing directly into the small intestine without the need for glandular secretions. It is well worth your while researching & you may even get it much cheaper in your country.
