Perhaps you have already seen this video. I never saw it until my friend who going to be a mom in about a month posted it on her Facebook page. It's a 2-year-old smoking a cigarette! I realize that this didn't happen in America, but there are certain things that are just wrong no matter where they occur. This is one. Originally, they started letting the child smoke because he had a hernia. If it really hurt that badly, children's morphine would have served the purpose. Now the kid's addicted. His dad says he'll have a temper tantrum and throw things if he doesn't have a cigarette. As my assistant says, he's going to get cancer at 10 if it even takes that long. No need for me to watch the video. I'll take your word for it.
Dad is afraid of a 2-year old making tantrums and throwing things. Who is the adult here? The parent or the kid? That is the problem with our world nowadays. Parents who are afraid to give kids proper discipline through ample spanking. There is a Chinese saying that still rings in my ears which I do so as I raise my kids "Don't worry of hurting the skin so as to make sure the child will walk a straight and righteous path."

I don't agree with spanking kids. However, I do agree with things like medical intervention (to make withdrawal less painful), weakening him off, grounding or taking away toys for breaking the no smoking policy, and bribery if he does well with toys and treats. We don't differ in outcome goal, just approach!

Actually, I saw two more videos of young boys smoking at a very young age and it is very disturbing. Especially when the parents are just letting it happen. It is so sad that there are parents who are like this already and think that there is nothing wrong with it.

like you I was horrified when I saw this but they also said that he is now in rehab under child protection rules-thank goodness because he is fat as well and looked like a very strange, unhappy little boy - not at all normal for a toddler. His parents need re-educated
