On first-ever train ride, twins die in each other's arms, SO SAD.

Little Shirin and Sharmin hardly knew who Maoists were or why they would target their train. On their first ever vacation, all that the mirror-image twins could think about was what they would do in Mumbai, pose for pictures in identical frocks, take the ferry to Elephanta... They went to sleep hugging each other. They died that way. On Friday morning, even hardened CRPF men broke down as the bodies of the seven-year-olds from Kolkata were pulled out of the mangled S4 coach of the GyaneshwariExpress. Their parents — schoolteachers Sayed Javed Alam, 35, and Sabiya, 30 — had saved for years the hard way to give the twins a week of happiness. They, too, died. I could not stop me from reading this, too much uncertainity in life.

wow that was really sad. hopefully they did not suffer. it is harder to be a survivor than it is to die...just remember they are all in heaven together and they are happy. At least they were together and had someone to be scared with. I bet there were a lot of people there that were alone and now have left someone very close behind. I don't know what a maoist is either.

I got shivers as I read your discussion. It only shows that no matter how much you plan for something, you can never be completely in control, no matter how much you'd like to be. It's a big eye opener.

We can plan things but god has the ultimate control on all our plans.

Yes, this is tragic and very distrubing that someone could be so heartless. I hope they are found and persecuted to the full extend of the law. This is really a sad situation.

This kind of incidences have moved us and the common man but Government is unperturbed. Maoists and Naxalites have waged a war against the country but Government is viewing it merely a simple law and order situation. They are expecting the state to tackle the situation. Government should deploy the army and crush Maoists and Naxals once for all. While the country is shedding bitter tears the political leaders are busy in their blame game.

How many places Army will protect, they hide among the innocent villagers and you cannot identify. Govt should talk to them and come up with some action plans. they are just speaking in front of the media and doing nothing.

It is too sad to hear this news about the train accident in India. The government should be focusing in the safety of train transportation in India. Once in a while they should be checking its maintenance. So that this accident would never happen again.

What a sad thing that happened to that two kids. They did not expect that that would be their last vacation, that is life we really don't know until when we will be living in this world.

I sort of agreed with giftsandbagscom. Imagine how heartbreaking it would be that one of them should live!! It is very sad indeed. I saw it on the news about the train, I didn't see that part about the twins. I am, however thankful that I didn't see the gruesome part. What a world!!
