How does this work? I haven't got any money

I am new to this as a matter of fact I just started late last night. Anyway I have set up an account, also added my paypal info and responded to many many blogs now, including this one I have now posted 2 discussions myself and I still have a $0.00 balance. I don't understand. How much do you have to do or should I say what do you have to do to make money on this and how much money should I expect to make doing this? I know that it is not supposed to be a whole lot and its not supposed to pay my bills or anything but I thought it would at least get me some gas money and maybe a meal or two. Can someone please help me out and explain this to me so that I will know how it works and then maybe I can get better at this! I like this site, I have never been to a site like this before so I find it really fasinating. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND THIS SO I CAN MAKE MONEY WHILE HAVING FUN!!!!!!!!!!!???

Patience my dear. You are new to the site, just give it a little more time. Surely your earnings will come in due time. It may not be much but with all the time you can afford on the site and the amount of interest you give by interacting with MyLot and myloters, rest assured you will earn a a few dollars to augment your income. But what is important is that you enjoy and have fun with what you're doing and earn at the same time.

myLot is not a method to make instant money so you will not see an instant rise in your money! You should post in discussions with quality content with descriptive answers with the points needed by the person who asked the question. Inclusion of pictures, videos and other quality items that make the answer better increase the amount of money that you get for the article!
You can also start discussions and the more amount of people that post in it, and the more active it is, the more money you will earn through.
Last of all, the money that you have is upgraded after 24 hours so you might not see the money now but will see it 24 hours later :D

I'm not sure whether you have misunderstood but when I read this:
' You can also start discussions and the more amount of people that post in it, and the more active it is, the more money you will earn through ' I feel that I must point out that if you start a discussion, it makes no difference whether it receives 10 or 100 responses - unless you comment back to them your earnings will not increase.
We do not earn for the responses. Those who post them do.

, actually if you create your own post and you will get 100 post from different members then you will not get any from their response unless you response to their response also, you will only get paid for your own post, take note: your own post and not from someone's post as their post is also their own earnings. so whether you have your own post and whether that post have responses or not you will get paid for that, or every time you make post or you make responses.

I do understand this now as I have read my handbook of do's and dont's. Thank you for taking the time to point that out though just in case I would have missed it in my reading. I sometimes don't understand everything that I read in those fanccy worded instruction manuals.

Thanks for your help but if my lot is not a question and answer site then could you kindly explain to me why there is a dedicated section that reads questions & answers? Also is a question not a wonderful way to strike up a conversation about that question?

'Questions and answers' is one of the many interests here.
If you read this page:

you will see that not even once are questions & ansers mentioned, only discussions several times.
This topic will be deleted and you and those who replied will earn nothing for it. We are aware of this but some of us usually answer trying our hardest to point new users to the official FAQs and Guidelines. Everything is answered there just as you were informed in the mail that you received when you registered. Please take your time to read them because it is there that everything is explained.

It's not a get rich quick thing and you don't pay money upfront. You just respond to threads or start discussions and poof..you make money. I only have $0.51 in my account right now because I don't have a whole lot of time to sit and post all the time. You have to make sure you aren't gone for long periods of time though otherwise your earnings disappear never to be seen again.

I appreciate your help but I dont think that you were allowed to tell me how much money you have made. In that respect though I would like to say that I have been on her for I know 10 hours now responding and posting things so hopefully by the time I get off and go to bed and get back up I will have something in my account to show for it.

Most likely they will delete the discussion but still a few pointers are to make sure that when you do any replies that every one of them is at the least 3 lines long. Otherwise you wont make much cash at all. When doing posts like this one, always make sure to ask a question at the end of it, why I don't know but they seem to think all conversations and discussions should have a question. Also never question about money in here. The others are right though you really need to reread the FAQ and TOS, as well as all the guidelines.

Don't worry, in my case, it takes two days to see my earning pops out. I hope you enjoy having discussion here and remember to abide by MyLot rules...Your discussion or your responds to one discussion could get deleted if the discussion violates the rules..and so your earning will be reduced equal to the discussion you started or responded that got deleted.

yes your right, if i know that the post will just get deleted, i really dont bother to response at all and waste my time but instead i just tell them to read tos or faq, short but more helpful response so that even if its get deleted at least i know.

Your balance won't be credited immediately. They have to make sure you've made valid replies to discussions, etc. so try checking back tommorow or in a few hours.
If you want to have some more fun, it's what Interests is for! :) You can spend a lot of time talking about something you really enjoy with other people who also enjoy it, and you'll be shocked to see just how many posts you made without trying that hard. :)

Since You just started last night, you won't see any earnings updated until tomorrow. Our earnings are only updated once every 24 hours. Also, whatever you earn from the 1st of the month to the end of the month, you would be paid the next month by the 15th, provided of course that you have earned the minimum payout, which is $10. Whatever you have it set for, that is what you have to make to get paid. If you don't make it, then it will be carried to the next month, and if you make it then, you will get paid the month after. I am not sure about the time scale for where you live, here in the UK the earnings are put on around 5 - 6, however at weekends it seems to get a little messed up, just hang on, enjoy your writing and you will see your earnings going up/
