We often hear from our friends,spouse..."I've got a secret ... can you keep it??? "
Secrets which make you/someone else embarrassed,of surprise...
We are told to keep a secret,because the person considers us trustworthy..and it is a difficult task to keep secrets..
Personally I can keep secrets,it slips off my tongue only after a lot of trials..
My ways..telling the secret to myself many times,or to my dog..
Its hard..Have read the book "Can You Keep a Secret?" by Sophie Kinsella(Madeleine Wickham)..
Its the story of a girl who gets into lots of troubles by telling too much..
Its a known fact that women are the losers..due to their gossips

Hey there can be your own secrets in finances,Social Security number, your passwords and pin numbers...too...what about those...??But you can't tell those even to trustworthy..isn't it??
How about you,Are you capable of keeping your own secrets??
Or being trustworthy to your friends.....

To be honest, I'm not that good at keeping secrets. It's not because I want to blab them, they just make t heir way into the conversation somehow. And it also epends on who I'm keeping the secret for and what it is.

I usually do keep most secrets quiet though, so I'm not completely untrustworthy. (:

I guess so. That makes me feel like such a loser. Maybe I just need to mature more, even though I'm nine-teen. LOL

I think I can??? I'm not that talkative but we cannot say what will happen right? "the truth always comes out". I don't really like the feeling when you are hiding something that you cannot say to others but I always try to keep it a secret in the most possible ways I know.

Hi vycess: I think that both men and women can keep a secret. At the same time, I think that if you want to keep one and don't tell the truth, you just have to not think to much about the issue. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day.

I can keep a secret. As long as the person doesn't double-cross me then I won't think twice on keeping it. But if the person stabs me at the back then I'll most likely tell his/her secret to the world. I don't care if it's the worst secret he/she has, that's the price to pay, or maybe more, if one double-crosses me.

Easiest way to keep a secret, convince yourself you never knew it in the first place. Seriously though, I can not understand why it is so difficult for a person to keep their mouth shut. If keeping the secret meant your life or that of someone you love could you keep it? If the answer is no, then stop accepting secrets, seriously.
As for me, yeah I can keep secrets. I simply have myself trained to stick it in a corner of my brain and neglect the information so that on a conscious level I am barely aware that I know it. If needed I can recall it but it has to be at need. Secrets can cost lives in my experience, guarding them properly has become in my sub-conscious the same as protecting their life.

Yah I am...and I am proud to say that.. :)
I think, that is one of the things that my friends and sisters wants about me..
I can lend them my ears...I spend time to listen carefully and give some advises if they asked too.
It feels happy and overwhelm to think that people can share some secrets to you without a doubt that I would tell it to others.

Secret.... only the word "secret" says alot about it...presonally i think its something that someone doesnt want to be heard by wrong people thats why often people share their secrets to best friends that they trust...they know long enough. As for me im good at keeping secrets but sometimes i just want to burst and tell it ...... and i tell it when i have no choice or no way out as i dont lie....

Secrets are safe with me sagar. whatever conversation that is shared with me that could cause havoc or sensitive i make sure that i keep it in my heart. blabbering other peoples secrets may put the person in trouble and my also put me in trouble. so i can say that i am a trustworthy person. sometimes there are things better kept than tell for this may end up causing trouble or ruining something.

Hi sagar: Sincerely, I consider myself a person you can trust and I'll keep my friend'secret. For me keeping my mouth closed is not a big challenge. I think that, the best way to keep a secret is not to think to much on the subject so you won't have any temptation of telling someone else what is about. Thanks for starting this discussion. I think I am good in keeping secret. I know which really dark secret I can not share at all.
I have few friend share the story which really sad to hear what they face in their life and really embarrassing if other hear it.
I think my friend value my capability in keeping secret so I they count on me if they can not hold it any more.

Yes I am very capable of keeping a secret. I don't want my friends to no longer trust me so I make sure all of their secrets are safe with me. I'm really not that talkative so the chances of me accidentally telling somebody is really low.

when someone tell me their secret I really can't remember anything of it after a day or two, I don't know why is it I just don't care about what he/she told me about or Its only my natural way of keeping a secret.
There's a lot of my friend told me some of their secret they even told me that I am the only one who knows about that thing but now I tried to remember those thing I can't I know my friend told me something but I can't remember it, when I read your discussion I tried to recall it but I can't remember it anymore, it also one of my problem Even my personal info like pin no. username and password to my online games and other thing that need it, I always need to open my email add to remember it,
Now that I hooked up in this online earning things I registered to tons of site I already made a information sheet of all my password and username, so I don't need to open always my email.

yes i am capable of keeping my and others secrets too.people will appreciate if you can keep the words by not telling others.sometimes they don't even say that it is a secret but we should know that if the subject really matter to them so we have no right to share it with other people..if it is so secret and you do not want others know about it then don't tell any single word to anyone and keep it yourself.easy huh?

Secrets are secrets. Actually, I know myself. It i one of my strength, keeping a secret. Anything you told me will not be spilled unless otherwise it is purely a daily conversation. My friends used to confess and share their problems with me because they know that their secrets when told will never be revealed nor be shared with anyone. I do that because I have secrets too. Deepest and darkest secrets that only God knows plus my best friends. I keep secrets because I want to keep my secrets too. We gossip a lot but we know our limitations and obligations on how we handle our conversations.
