Hello, all I have just seen an advert for flying lessons and think it would make a great present for my brother's birthday. You can buy a voucher for an introductory lesson and give it as a gift, no obligation to continue. You are taken up in a small two seater plane for half an hour. Has anyone tried this ? , is it any good ?

Nope I've never taken flying lessons before in fact I've never even flown in a airplane before, and I always wondered what it be like to at least fly in one though I might be a bit nervous.

Remember what goes up must come down Sorry dont mean to put you off, but I'm with you, I dont have wings so I was not meant to fly, simple. But my brother flies alot so sitting in the cockpit next to the pilot would be an experience. HaVe FuN

haddowz those who love to fly say those flying lessons are a really good buy . Me, I will stay on the ground unless emergencies would make me have to take a plane. As for taking a flying lesson that would only happen were hell to freeze over. lol lol

I'm with you when it comes to flying, I prefer to keep my feet on terra-firma or the ground as I like to call it. 5 positive votes so far , so it's looking like my brother's present is in the bag, he loves flying so all looks good.

No I've never had a flying lesson. It may be something interesting to do and try... especially worth all the views. However, the chicken in me would say not to because those lil planes are the ones that crash more often.

Hi Haddowz, I haven't tried it myself but did in fact buy a flying lesson for a boyfriend a few years ago and he thought that it was a wonderful experience. He had been on many planes before but to be up there taking control was an exhilarating experience. Huggles. Ellie :D

I haven't, but my dad did. He LOVES flying. It wasn't a gift tho, he had to pay for it himself but it was a wonderful investment. He's taken me up in a small plane before and we flew over where I live. It was a very cool feeling and a lot of fun. It sounds like a great gift if someone isn't scared of heights.

Hi, HADDOWZ. No, I have never had a flying lesson before. I am too scared to even get on an airplane, so I know that I will not be flying around high in the sky anywhere. I think that your brother will be delighted, if you was to get an voucher for flying lessons for him. That would make a wonderful Birthday present.

No, I have not tried it and not sure I will try this in future. This require a regress training I believe and one should not be allowed without training.

I have never had a flying lesson before but I think it would be a really cool gift for your brother's birthday. I love giving gifts that are just that little bit different and for a one off experience I think it would be brilliant.
