the average price of each sq.m of house in my city is 9000 RMB,but the average earning is 3000 RMB,that means most people have to spend 3 months income only can buy one square meter!!and he can't see movie ,can't take a bus or even can not take meal!!!!if we calculate,I have to spend about 20 year to get a house of my own!this is the phenomenon we face in my country,I wonder,is the same phenomenon in your country?

hi there. this really is something that i have to sigh about. =( the value and amount of properties are really really expensive. unless you have truckload of money, you can't really acquire a property as you can in owning any other electronic appliances. from where i come from, it's the same deal. an average person can only totally own a house and lot after several years. at times, after 30 years. but one can already live in the house that they are still paying as long as the equity is paid. but to have total claim on a house, you have to pay everything first...usually takes 20 years or so. it's what's happening, so let's not rush in owning a house especially if the income is just enough to pay the monthly bill. =)

It seems we face similar trouble....,but the traditional here is if you wanna marry ,you should own a house first,or your mother-in-law will not allow her daughter marry to you.but we can hardly own a house before 35-year-old just by ourselves!!!!maybe you will think we can be single, but then my mother will not allow......so it sounds sad that we have to get help from our parents for the house.=(

I am not sure how much per sqm cost here in the Philippines but I am know it's very expensive as well. Since people can't afford to own their own house and lot, there are government programs here that would help a family/person to have his their/his own property which he should be paying continuously for 15 to 30 years depending on what terms he would choose. He can have the property while paying for it. We also have Rent to Own which means, we are like renting the property but after several years, that property would be ours depending on it's value during the initial discussion.
