Is Google Getting Too Powerful To Be Unethical?

Since the discovery of Google's accidental spying, I am sure all of us have read from news articles that the company would be deleting all collected private data and information on private users' WiFi networks. So we are to take that a reputable corporation like Google who has been extensively developing in the field of digital information technology, to be true to their words. Well, don't be too quick and I hate to disappoint all the victims here because they are not going to. Worse, they are blatantly taking the data to target ads at mobile phones WITHOUT your permission. So, do you think this is unethical? What is your impression on Google now? Would you still regard Google to be reputable?
