I have seen more of countries overseas than my own country

In my life I have been keen to get on planes, trains, buses and ferries to go over to explore different countries. In my childhood I remember the excitement of going on the ferry over to France for short breaks. When I discovered Germany I knew I had found a real gem of a county. I have visited historical Trier. I have been to places along the River Rhine. It was lovely to see the castles in Bavaria. I liked it in Austria and saw the beautiful city of Vienna. I went to places in Eastern Europe like Romania and Bulgaria. There I found cheap prices. I spent a long time in Australia seeing the cities of Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, Darwin and Cairns. I went snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef. In New Zealand I visited Northland and for three whole weeks before I looked at the rest of the country in the same amount of detail.
In my home country the weather is cool. I can have more sunny days elsewhere in the world. I can see different sorts of architecture and animals that are not in my homeland. I think prices in my home country are quite high. It can be cheaper in many other countries. I have been to a few different areas of my home country. Really I have seen more of Australia than I have my home country.
Have you seen many places in your home country?
Do you like to visit lots of areas in different countries?
Maybe you prefer to see just one place in a country?

This is a common occurrence here in Australia. There are always backpackers here who have seen more of the country than I have. I know from your previous discussions that you have seen more of this country than I have too.
I have zig zagged my way across the USA from one coast to the other, but I have never done that here. I have also driven north from London and into northern England and up to Loch Ness in Scotland before hooking left and coming back down the other coast and into Wales before returning to London. Perhaps I have seen more of the UK than you have?
I have only ever been overseas once so it is not something that I do regularly as getting anywhere overseas from Australia is quite expensive. So I just made sure that it was a very large six month trip overseas!
