http://www.mod.uk/DefenceInternet/DefenceNews/MilitaryOperations/CorporalStephenPaulCurleyKilledInAfghanistan.htm Well last week I started a sombre discussion as Steve Walker Roayal Marine was killed, then Steve Curley and have just had news although cannot name due to it not being annouced officially that yet another early today. Please will you all send out thoughts and prayers to th families and friends involved. Three from same Troop this week. Do you think it is time to bring our boys home? Such a trgic waste of young life fighting against an invisible enemy the as these devices that kill are planted to delibrately kill these guys trying to keep peace. Please prayer for peace also. Many thanks. Ellie :(

So SO SAD!! What a tragic waste of young life. Hasn't his country over the last century lost enough of our young people to war, I certainly do think that they should be brought home My thoughts and prayers are with all our service men and women and their poor families who wait and listen at home, thoughts especially to the families of those who have lost their lives. For anyone who doesn't think they should come home I recommend that they read Vera Brittain's book from WW1 - Testament of Youth!!

Hi Oldchem, I haven't heard of this book before but will look it up and see if I can get a copy. I am in agreement with you but as Max says above as a US marine he feels they should be there and I guess a lot of the other soldiers must feel this way too but I want them home, there are just so many being killed and 3 this week from the one troop plus the injured who haven't been mentioned is just so sad for all involved and friends and family. Both Steves, who can be named had young families. Theire lives will have changed forever now bless them. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers for all. Huggles. Ellie :D

hi ellie oh my I am so sickof this war and hearing the brave young men we in the US and those from other countries send only to hear they were killed. I just do not know if this war is a just thing or not, but I do know I will sen my prayers to those families who are now grieving for their sons who paid the ultimate price. and yes indeed my prayers also for peace, oh my G where is God now, please listen, let us have peace again. these things do shake my faith a bit.

Hi Hatley, I am so saddened and when it is so close to home as I meet these guys before they go out as I work at the Roayal Marine Training Camp it hurts deep inside, the latest guy can now be named a young lad called Scott only 21, such a tragic waste of life. Thank you for your prayers. I pray daily anyway but more so at present as I feel they are in so much danger without enough support. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi Max, I am sure they appreciate all your thoughts and prayers and our Marines here will probably say the same as you but working at the camp I get attached to these boys/men and really feel for all their friends and family. In fact it is the injured ones I feel for too big time as they have to suffer for the rest of their lives and will never be the same again so help with the Help Our Wounded charity. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers. Huggles. Ellie :D
