I first heard this song from Smallville, used as a background song for one particular sad episode. I loved it when I first heard it. I googled it, and found out that the singer I think, wrote and sang this for her mother who died of breast cancer and it took a whole lot of meaning when I listened to it again. I also lost my mom because of cancer so I kind of grew a certain fondness for the song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jzu3Ihyq50c

I really like Mindy Smith's music. And it's nice to know some of her history, that helped shape her into the person she became.

I never knew of Mindy Smith until I heard that song. But I can tell that she's been through something, aside from that very wonderful musical talent, which led her to making such wonderful music.

Yes, I enjoy this gentle song too. I vaguely remember listening to it when it was on UK TV. As a musician myself playing, I find that the best music comes when I am feeling a little sad. They say that many people, authors and song-writers write their best stuff when they going through some sort of stressful crisis. _Derek

That is true. Trials do have ways on extracting our very best.

That's a very haunting and sad song. So much truth to is as well. Those of us who have lost parents or loved ones too early, never stop yearning for one more moment with them.

I have been into haunting songs lately. I'm afraid what it will do to me sooner or later! But it's true, until now I still keep longing for her to be with us. There are very sad and trying times that I wish she was there to figure things out like she used to.
