Medical records must be maintained for a minimum of 5 years. For pediatric patient medical records they must also be maintained until patients reach the age of 21

I am above the age of 21 that means I do not require a medical record.Have a medical record with you for your ready reference.

I have had to move with my kids a few times in my life and I always get a copy of their medical, dental, and school records to take with me. That way I do not have to wait on the new doctor to request their records. I just feel safer doing it this way, and they are there if I need them fast.
