I am surprised and saddened that even in this great MyLot community, the subject of the passing of Dennis Hopper has not been broached. He was a true Hollywood man and a pioneer in independent film. Not only for "Easy Rider" but were you aware that he made his big screen debut in "Rebel Without a Cause", the James Dean blockbuster? For me, my favorite Hopper role was in "Hoosiers" playing the alcoholic father of one of the basketball team. He brought sensitivity and a feeling of compassion to the character. Yet another acting gem gone. Any favorite Hopper moments among your film viewing experiences?

Yes. I am also a big fan of Dennis Hopper and was very saddened to hear that he had passed. Most people I ever mentioned him to couldn't get it why I loved watching any movie he was in. Have you seen Mad Dog? I know the movie was 40 or 50 years old. You could barely recognize him in it.. He looked so little, and was so young. It was not a really great movie, but it was fun watching it because of all the differences in movies from than compared to the effects possible today.
