I switched to wheat bread a few weeks ago and noticed that I gained more weight than before. I feel so full and bloated every meal and was surprised that it also add up to my waistline. Has anyone tried wheat bread and had the same experience? I read through some articles that wheat bread is not really good for dieting. Please share some ideas...

I think all posta, bread, and white goods make you get fat.But my mother went on a tuna sandwitch diet and she still lost weight.I think it all depends on how active you are and if you are eating more or less calories then you are burning per day.

I have been told that no bread is really all that good if you are on a diet. I think that it is the carbohydrates in the bread that makes it bad for you. I know that when I am dieting I try to stay clear of bread. Funnily enough Jarod from subway lost all that weight. I've read he ate all meals there to impress a girl and it happened to be a cool coincidence that he lost all that weight

That is really weird because I started a new job and for a week straight at lunch, I ate a turkey sandwich with cheese on wheat bread, a bag of chips and a snack cake. I lost six pounds. Of course, that might have something to do with the fact that I quit eating fast food and quit drinking as much pop. I'll have to keep that in mind. Oh, and for those of you wanting to cut out breads altogether, I strongly advise against it. It doesn't seem healthy. You are supposed to get a variety. I mean, don't eat half a loaf a day, but don't cut it out entirely! Wheat bread is supposed to be better for you because the whole grain or something like that. I don't know. I do know that white bread is bleached and a lot of the nutrients are removed. As a general rule, I understand that the darker the bread is, the better it is for you. I don't know for sure though.

this is opposite to what i know, wheat bread, especially whole grain wheat bread by Gardenia, is low glycemic complex carbohydrates it is a good source of carbohydrates cause it doesn't spike your insulin eventhough you consume more than the serving suggestion, it is not really true that isn't good for people trying to lose weight or fat infact it helps to reduce weight aslong as your using also healthy spread to it, as bodybuilder trying to minimize fat while retaining muscle, wheat bread is one of my source of healthy carbs in my food chain(diet)..
