Rules of Law

India

I have often seen people violating traffic rules openly. They simply go past the red light and in full speed without caring for the inflow of traffic from different direction. In the process, they collide also losing their lives or getting grieviously hurt. But, what saddens me that the other people, for no mistake on their part, lose their lives and consequently, their family stands destroyed. These people are openly showing that they don't care for ruls of law. Even Police who are supposed to be guardian to execute laws, simply ignore such attempts and thus these traffic-violators become more and more encouraged. Have we come to a stage where such thing would continue to happen? Lawlessness is already rampant in our Country where people simply ignore rather they don't care for the systems. Consequently, murders, robberies, chain-snatching, gang-wars etc go on taking place. We become satisfied after reading the news papers only. How long?

Hi, Hmmm,i agree with you that many people behaves like as the rules are not for them.Even traffic police also takes the things very light by taking some money from them.Well,as a good citizen i personally believe in following the rules.

Yes I agree this is out of control, no respect for the law. What I hate is the young ones who just get their license and think drag racing is cool in normal suburban traffic and car parks. Here we have had some horrific teenage deaths caused by simply speeding and being foolish without any consequences.I hope they start giving harsher penalties soon, because it is usually the innocent who get hurt.

I believe the law is not very strict as people tend to violate it like many other things they do, I also encounter such acts on the road where people do not seem to care at all for the road traffic law and drive as if they have purchased the road themselves. When the law will be more strict maybe they can abide to it.
