Time deposit or Mutual fund whic is better? / myLot

Help... I want to invest but I'm not sure which one is better? I've read that in short term investment a time deposit is better and in long investment mutual fund is better. Please enlighten me...

does that require paypal? or what are its requirements? can i also invest even if all i have is a paypal account? by the way, im from the philippines..

HYIP websites only accept LR if your interested in exchangging paypal between LR tell me i can exchange with you

They are (Time Deposit and Mutual Funds) oftentimes on the same level of return.. low return as compared to Stocks and online Forex. But on the level of security, I guess Time Deposit has an edge over Mutual Funds.
