why is it so hard to believe?

Hi there fellow mylotters. I have just noticed that people easily believes the negative things of a person (especially those they dont like) and hardly believes the positives side?.. Why is this so?

I think its our nature not to trust people and I just wonder if factually the truth is there are more bad people than good. People will say "well its how you were raised" but I don't know to many babies that just run up to random people and hug them. This tells me by nature you trust those that are close to you and everyone else just has to earn it. Maybe thats why we respond the way we do?
