What is your favorite character in Criminal Minds?

I like all the characters in Criminal Minds and wouldn´t take away any of them. But I must confess that I have a tender spot for Reid. He is so naive in spite of being so brilliant! But that is not all. One would have thought that life ahd been easy for him until you hear about his miserable childhood.

Oh I have had a thing for Shamar Moore ever since he was on Young and the Restless. His character doesn't matter. :D

I saw an interview with him, and he was talking about how his grandmother raised him, and she always called him her "work in progress". There was a time where he was frustrated with dating and trying to find "the right one", and he said that she gave him some really good advice. She told him to stop looking for love, because when it was ready it would come and bite him in the butt, and no matter what he did he wouldn't be able to avoid it. Now, when I watch him, I sometimes think about how if I ever happened to meet him in person I am not sure whether or not I could resist the urge to go up to him and bite his butt!

Purple is a woman to fear!!! Just a while ago, she said she controled the remote control in her house. NOW she wants to bite poor Moore´s VERY nice butt!!!My problem is that he´s too young for me

gOOD MORNING MARG, that is one of my favorite shows but don't know any of their names unless i'm watching it, lol. I think there is a black guy on there, if there is he's my fave. Can't keep up where everybody belongs & what show they are on. Hope all is well w/u.hugs.

And yes, he´s cute. He has a sort of platonic romance with Garcia, the awesome girl of the computer (she should be coming here to fix my computer though!
Hugs for you too! Today I went to the doctor and he found my shoulder "doing well". I said I pretented that the thing did NOT hurt. So he gave me some meds for that and more theraphy.
He´s nice!!!

It seems there´s a mayority here in favour of him. One of my mylotter friends described him as "hot" and I agree

Hotch. But, saying why isn't easy. Maybe because he's not the stereotype most people see him as. And, because he's such a subtly layered character Because he could probably kill you just with the power of his glare, but also drops words of thanks and praise to his team like they're the most natural thing in the world. Because he's no pushover and can assert his authority with no trouble. But, at the same time, he does listen to the team and will take their suggestions if they make sense, even when they go against him. Because he's not unemotional. He just keeps his emotions under iron control most of the time and I find characters like that fascinating. I could go on and on and on, so I'll stop here.

Well, I like all of the characters on the show. I am not sure that I have a favorite because they all offer something different to the show. I like the way that someone described Reid here.
If I had to say I had a favorite, I guess it would have to be Hodge. His character has gone through so much on the show and he still remains strong, but does show his vunerability.
Dereck and Penelope would have to be my second choice of characters as I think that the way that they react to each other brings a hint of romance to the show although they aren't romantically involved. He is hot and intelligent, but has that boyish character to him when he is around Penelope.

I agree with you on their relationship. There are times that I would like to see them try a relationship, but if they didn't stay together then you could not see the little subtle flirting that happens now.

It happens to me that in some episodes I like one better and in others I like another. But I always find wonderful the relation between Dereck and Penelope (something between romance and brotherly love)

Thanks for responding, lexx. I agree with you that he´s a super nerd but, at the same time, with all his intelligence and knowledge, he´s so naive in so many things. Problably thaqt´s part of what I like of the character.

I like pretty much all of the characters, however I especially love Reid and Prentiss. Reid because he's so hilarious (without meaning to be) and so naive and cute - although I wasn't fond of his Beatles-esque haircut the last season. I like Prentiss just for her overall attitude - she's great at what she does!

I agree with you that Reid not alwayshas the best hairdo I´d have for him. But I still love the character. I find Prentiss a little too rational for my taste though. I mean, all the rest have some kind of flaw but she doesn´t seem to have any.

I just love Reid, of course Penelope (I'm not sure that is spelled correctly) is the kind of quarky person I just love to have around.

My favorite character is Hotch because of his toughness and calmness under pressure. The only time I saw him explode and rattled was when the Reaper killed his wife. He rarely smiles, but when he does me and my wife also smiles because we know that is a pure. I cannot wait for season six.

Penelope......she's really funny in a quirky way. I love the way that Derek teases her by flirting with her :)
