I am using it over 4 years now P4 3066 Mhz/ 1 MB cache The old monster, which hasn't problems even with the latest games 5 years after! I love this CPU and don't want to change It even for 4 core processors. It is classic, don't you think

I'm using Centrino 2 now. But a 3066MHz/1MB cathe maybe the toppest CPU when you bought it. Today's CPU only have more cores, not higher working frequency. Cores will not improve much if the software doesn't support parallelism.

When I bought this computer, my first choice is a Core I7 too. But there's no merchandise on hand then. Consider a Core I7 model cost too much, RMB11000.00, about $1500 on exchange rate then, I gave up I7 and get a P8700.

Yeah, it's also the one I am using right now! And oftentimes, I use this PC without covers to let some air go in (to cool the processor and the video card fan). There are also times when I see my cat lying in just below the hard disk. Good thing I don't see some scratch caused by the techie cat!

Yes, I still have the old giant CPU Pentium 4. But it is not doing good anymore. It is just running so slow and I always have to have it repaired. Something is wrong with my computer and I want to change it.
