Bad Call

Did you see the call tonight in the Tigers Indians game that robbed Armando Gallarraga of a perfect game? The ump admitted that he missed the call, and the replay showed that it wasn't even close. Do you think that Major League Baseball should change the out come of this game and give him his perfect game? Or should game stay as it was called as a one hitter?

I agree, but what do you do? If the league doesn't do something about this, the calls for replay will force their hands. The sad part is that is this was a Yankee, or a Red Sox the world would be talking about this.

I am wondering what MIKE AND MIKE will have to say about this in the morning.

I really can't believe that they aren't going to reverse that call. I wonder how many people will protest this by not going to, or watching games? I think that Bud is the worse commissioner baseball has ever seen, and I have no idea why he is still running the game. He needs to go, and soon!!!

Wow, yes, I think it should be changed. It was so obvious, everyone saw it so I believe the call should be reversed. Unfortunately for Gallarraga, baseball has not caught up with other sports when it comes to instant replay. There are so many calls that would be reversed if they ever bring in instant replay. One thing I will say: it was very classy the way the situation was handled. The umpire admitted he was wrong and I feel he was sincere. Armando Gallarraga was mature in the way he dealt with it and the fans were very nice about it as well. The sports world is so littered with back biting cheaters that would do anything to "win". It was truly refreshing to see real sportsmanship for a change.

Very true, good point. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I agree that it was handled very well by everyone, expect the commissioner. I think if baseball put in replay the games would become marathons, and it would show just how bad the officiating really is in MLB. It is well needed though.

I heard that they are thinking about givng him the perfect game! He really deserves it after that call and being a real sport about it.
