I just started watching the new season of Hell's Kitchen. My wife has got me hooked on the show. What do you like most/least about the show? I really don't like how upset Ramsey gets over trivial things but I guess it is working for him because he has many professional kitchens. I also don't like when the contestants act like they are the hottest thing in the world. But that makes me enjoy it even more when they get knocked off the show for making a mistake on something really simple. What are your likes/dislikes about the show?

I love Hell's Kitchen and I LOVE Gordon Ramsy and Kitchen Nightmares and... By the way, he doesn't get upset over trivial things --that is the point. As you can see from the first episode there are a lot of immature and unprofessional people in the world who think they are all that, but need a reality check. These people are an employer's nightmare. They cost businesses money everyday. The show is about much more than someone confusing crab for lobster (unbelievable!) and Gordon getting upset over their incompetence.

I agree their incompetence is sometimes unbelievable and even the smallest mistake can have huge consequences. Though some of their mistakes are pretty huge, like sending out uncooked food. I also find it crazy that they are surprised when he gets upset. It's like they haven't ever watched the show before. lol

That's the thing that gets me! They act like they are totally surprised when the entire world knows every word out of his mouth is the F word!

I love Hell's Kitchen but I think he could leave out all the "F" bombs. I was floored when he was kissing that first lady till he reveled it was his wife. It surprised me when he threw almost all of them out of the kitchen. I think some of the people don't have a clue how to cook. Did you see that plate of spaghetti? It looked nasty!

I would be interested in seeing how they pick who gets on the show. Some of them really don't seem to know what they are doing. But then again I think they might have the knowledge but they just kind of melt down under the stress of Hell's Kitchen and completely forget what they know.

I only got to see the first half of the season premier, but what i saw was good. He does seem to get upset over the trivial things but I think there is a method to his madness. If you see him on talk shows he actually is a really friendly easy going guy. I think that it takes a lot of strength and patience to be a head chef in a restaurant. It is probably a really stressful job. so he in a way tests what they can handle and prepares them for the stress of working that job. I pretty much like everything about the show. Although sometimes when he is yelling at them for screwing up I think he gets a little too personal. Like last season he called the one girl a fat cow.

I agree. I like to see him later on in the season when the contestants start winning the prizes and we get to see him outside of the kitchen. He seems to be a really fun guy outside of the kitchen. But in the kitchen he is very focused and demanding. I guess that's what helps make him great.

I love watching Hell's Kitchen, as does my husband and our teenage son. It is a very entertaining show. I really like it a lot. It is fun to watch. At first when I started watching it a few seasons ago I was horrified by Gordan Ramsey's language. I couldn't believe he was talking to everyone that way! But now, I think it is hilarious. Good show!
