My yellow labrador does that too. Whenever we bring her out for a walk, she only likes to smell here, smell there, or run. Sometimes when she sees cat, she'll go and chase the cat. But, she won't be bothered about other stuffs. If there are dogs barking at her, she'll just ignore. Actually I seldom try playing games with her when we bring her out, as we can't off-leash her.

it was so hard to me to unleash her. but now i combine. leashed and unleashed. depending on if we walk on the streets or if we're at some green area without cars or little kids or mean dogs. do as i did. train her with her leash for some months and the start unleashing her a few minutes when u walk her. Labs LOVE smelling everything!

My labrador likes to make friends. He would approach any animal he sees, and when I say any animal, I mean any animal. I've seen him sniff and prod snails, butterflies, cats. He would then run while looking back at the animal he just prodded as if he wants the animal to chase him.
In the house, his favorite game is sleeping. Here's a picture of my labrador.

howdy, im a dog owner too.. i have this 6 month old dog that i knew was a labrador, and looks like a labrador... but how can i tell that my dog is a labrador breed? and also can you give me some hints in teaching my dog some tricks??? thanks
