Do Dreams Have Meanings Behind Them?

This morning I could remember having a short dream before I woke. My dream was of my daughter at the age of maybe 4. Or perhaps it was just a child and I am assuming it was my daughter. Because I couldn't really remember making out her face. I was just running the bath water when I noticed small dark bruises on one of her legs. And I woke up. What could that have meant?

i cannot say hat every dream has an hidden meaning behind that.in most of the cases your worries and thoughts in the unconscious mind will come as your dream.thus it is just a worry that you had in your mind.apart from that i dont think so that it has any meaning.so avoid your tension about this and while you sleep, dont take any worries to the bed . sleep peacefully.

i have always believe that dreams have meaning that are about the dreamer specifically. when you dream and wish to know what it's all about. you may want to ask "what area of my life the dream is referring to?" your dream may not be about your child, but if you are starting a new phase in your life or a new project which you have been thinking of, that may have caused the dream.

My grand mother used to say that every dream has a meaning, it is indeed a boon we are given to be able to see things or to have an understanding of how things might become, so I think you have been worried about something for quite a time and it is reflecting in your dream.

I used to believe that dreams do have some meaning but when a friend of mine whose a doctor told me that its just the work of our subconcious mind then i finally believed that its just some random thought that our subconcious mind is making us think.Although we cant discount the fact that yes it might have some meaning but to the extent that the meaning has connection to our lives i dont think so.I think studies needs to prove first if it has really a connection between the real world and our dreams .Happy mylotting

No, there is no universal hidden meaning behind your dreams. Dreams are usually a representation of things that were on your mind during the day or directly before you slept. It is simply your unconscious letting loose random thoughts and images. There is no need to be concerned about a dream like this :)

The child represents innocence, the bruises corruption. Something has corrupted or threatened your conception of goodness or innocence Dreams have no meaning all the best urban

I do believe that dreams have meanings. It is either a sign or an product of imagination through subconscious one. Or it is the activity that we do not do in our waking stage. I dreamt of myself dying many times. I dreamed I was inside a coffin and my family was crying. That was horrible and very emotional on my part and I was even crying when I woke up. A friend advice, that maybe on my waking time I wonder what would it be me when I die so that signals my imagination and it did happen in my dream.

I think dreams have meanings the same way horoscopes have meanings. (Meaning I don't think they have any meaning at all). If you look in any dream interpretation book or at any dream interpretation site, you'll notice the "dream symbols" are very generalized and could apply to anyone. I think the majority of dreams are meaningless. Just your brain sorting through all the information that it has. It can be fun, yes. It can reflect your life and what you're going through, yes. But each and every detail have some sort of subconscious message encoded in it? I just don't think so.
