Farmville one of Time's '50 Worst Inventions'

Why do you think it is one of the worst inventions? If it is one of the worst, then why millions use it and enjoy playing?

The ones who play farmville obviously don't think its the worst invention. The people who don't know how to play, or don't want to play it for whatever reason, will say they it's a worst invention. Technically, an invention is something that is a new device and can be used to do something new or make something that already exists easier to perform.

Farmville is specifically designed to get the player addicted. It's WoW without the fun parts. The entire purpose of the game is to get you addicted enough to want to shell out money for little in game crap like a new tractor. I'd call that pretty bad.

I don't think it's a bad "invention" -- millions of people are entertained with it. Now you could argue that it has had some bad effects too...it eats up a lot of time and cash. But people's time and money are theirs to use as they wish. If playing Farmville makes them happy, who are we to say that's wrong?

It's fulfilling its intended purpose - making its creators money - and plenty of people like playing it. So no, it's not one of the worst inventions.
I don't play the game myself. It seems really boring to me. But then again, a lot of the things I enjoy, others might find boring. Different people have different tastes.

I like playing Farmville, whoever said that Farmville is one of the 50 worst invention does not know what he is saying, Are you Playing Farmville?
