This is a photo of some of my Snap Peas I am growing in my gasrden here in Minnesota. Did good with them last year and loved them so planted more this year. I plan on making a great veggie soup with all the different vegetables I am growing. I also love eating them just boiled as a side veggie for a large dinner. Do you grow peas of any type? What ways do you eat them? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

We enjoy peas raw and cooked. I remember my granddaughter when she was 2, we were in the garden, she picked a pea pod and opened it and ate the peas out of it. I did not know she knew how.

hi GrandpaBob oh I love fresh peas just boiled and served as a veggie. they serve canned ones here and oh the difference, the canned ones seem picked too mature and and they dont have that fresh pea taste at all. but I eat the things for health sake wondering if they have any nutritional value left after being too old and commercially canned. On the farm we would pick them as soon as the pods filled out and often had new baby potatoes and fresh peas. oh so good too. nothing like living on a farm really.

They suffice at times. But not during spring/fall for me. Not when I go out back and pick my own. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

hi barbara and Grandpa Bob oh that was my sentiment too when George our president of the residents asked me if I liked the peas, he said, with a grin, then I take it you do not like the peas. yes I had to laugh but I think they got the message, the next time we got frozen ones and they really were so much better. canned tastes well tasteless is the word that comes to my mind.

My great grandma used to grow snap peas when she was alive. Thank you for bringing back a nice memory. Although now that I think of her sitting on her front porch, rocking in her chair, going through a bowl of her freshly picked snap peas...I'm a little teary. Good grief, I'm getting maudlin!

Anytime at all. I sit out front. But no rocking chair. Just a steel and plastic chair for now. A few years I'll need the chair or a swing. HAHAHA! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I planted a few peas in a pot but they're growing slowly. I like to eat them raw, especially the ones with edible pods.

I like peas. Usually I like them in my tortellini with mushrooms and cream sauce. Bad for the diet, I know. But delish all the same!

Hey Grandpa Bob! I love Snap Peas! Those are one of my favorites! Since as you know I can't have a garden where I live the only veggies I usually have are the "steam in a bag" kind in the frozen section of the supermarket! The produce we get here in NY is expensive and awful! In fact, I don't even think I have seen any peas at all!lol I love looking at your veggies! They are incredible to look at and I can't even imagine how delicious they are! Great job again this year!

I got a very big garden at the back of our place and my father usually spend most of his time over there, he grows up many vegetables and all of different types though, we hardly buy vegetables from the market instead we eat fresh one at the back of our house itself, there are peas also and my mother usually prepares mixed vegetables with all them.
