Usually when someone is fired it is for a good reason. Can a boss fire you after probation for no reason.Or is there at will kind of thing going on where they can fire you if they want without any reason at all.

I was actually fired from my job of 5 years about 2 montsh ago. Both my mother and grandmother were being rushed via ambulance to the ER. My granmother was having a stroke and my mother a heart attack. As the POA I had to be there to make medical decisions on their behalf. So I called into work 9 HOURS before the start of my shift and spoke with 2 different managers about it, both told me not to worry about coming in. I go into work the nexxt day to discover they removed me from the schedule and terminated me without letting me know. So I feel it was unfair that I was told it was okay for me to not come in due the nature of the situation to then be fired for it. Even if there is no real reason, a boss can fire you and make up a reason. I am battling w/my former employer because they wrote me as a no call no show when i spoke with 2 different managers that day. Due to the economy though many big companies are trying to get rid of the higher paid employees in any manner possible.

yes why not, Nowadays ppl with no skill get promoted as they are good at talking at the right moment. Bosses dont want to hear the truth they just want to hear what they want to hear, if boss is fixed at firing you you can do little about it

Yes. One job i had, had a union, and usually half way through the last day of probation, they would pink slip you, giving no reason, but go home.

I've never been fired from a job. But people in our company comes and go. Our company have reasons to fire people. It's either they cannot accomplish their goals that was given or violation of a certain rules. Whether your on a probationary period there is a labor ethics which will protect you. It's not right if you will be terminated from work without any reasons.

First, every thing has its two sides ,one is good and the other one is not good .Second ,one thing is good or not that we meet can not be chosed. So ,in my opinion ,the most important is how to face and deal with it.If we have an optimized attitude ,the bad thing can change to good.On the contrary ,the good thing also can .
