If the airport holds you at the airport because of pirated stuff, what to do?

I don't know about your country but here pirated or imitation items are always sold out especially bags, shoes, cds, etc. Everything has an imitation. Even foreigners are crazy over those kind of items. But what if you got held by airport immigration, stating and accusing that you are carrying pirated items? What will you do? Is it even possible for them to identify which is which? Which are authentic and which are not? Your thoughts please.

They usually will not bother you unless you have a large quantity and look like you may be going to sell them. Fake stuff for your own use is generally OK. They do have the power to seize them and fine you if the quantity is deemed to be commercial.

oh is that so? Its a fast process at the airport and I'm just thinking like how are they gonna distinguish genuine from fake bags or shoes.

The process is not necessarily fast here and they often seize and destroy whole container loads. They have experts who can tell the difference. If they can't they will hold you at the airport until an expert can be called.
