Getting a tattoo has a lot of meaning for a lot of people. Some do it for Transition and Remembrance others do it for Beauty and Empowerment. While it is considered to be an Art others considered it as a Symbol...

I would never get one, but not because I disapprove of tattoos or anything. In fact, I know exactly what I want and where I want it. The reason I don't get it though is because the only place I would be happy with what I want would be on my wrist and that place would cause a lot of issues with a lot of jobs. I wouldn't want to be restrained to wearing only long sleeved shirts because of it.

You know, I want one on my wrist too and wearing a watch can definitely hide it. ;)

Im not of the tattoo age. I have seen beautiful and horrid tattoes. But none of them are for me. Maybe for my grandaughter... I wouldn´t coax her into getting one though.

I've been thinking about getting a tattoo for a few years now. I haven't done it yet because I couldn't decide what to get. I had some ideas, but I was always afraid that my mind would change after I got it. Like if I got something that meant something to me at that point, that years down the road it wouldn't mean anything to me and I would get tired of looking at it. I'm pretty sure I'm getting one now. In all these years of thinking about it, the one that always stuck in my head is a butterfly. The only thing that is holding me back some is fear of the pain, and where I want to get it. I remember seeing a lower back tattoo on a girl when I was like 13 and thinking it was really cool. That was before they started calling it a "tramp stamp". So now I'm thinking it might not be a good idea to get one there. I'm a little old for a "tramp stamp". lol. but i really like it there.

I think tatoos are a cool way of representing yourself in many different ways. I personally would not get one because I'm so scared of the pain. I faint getting vaccination shots so the pain of a tatoo is definitly not a possiblity. Another reason is because I know I will regret it, fast. But I love fake tatoos though and wear them all the time. My favorite is a butterfly. I think they are natures beauty and it symbolizes freedom. I like tatoos which represents independence, courage, power, beauty, mystery, and the likes. The locations in which I place them are my right corner hips, my lower back, my arms and upper back arm. I've always gotten complements on them and I love the fact that they're temporary so I can change them according to my mood. But with whatever tatoos a person gets, I believe that it's their choice and we have to respect their decisions on it. I hate it when someone gets hacked on all the unnecessary issues that arise. Isn't that what America is all about? Freedom of expression?
