Anyone finds trouble sleeping in absolutely quiet places?

Maybe it's beacuse I've been living all my life next to a constantly noisy avenue, but I just can't sleep when I'm in a quiet place(last year I went camping in the mountains, didn't sleep at all). Anyone has the same problem? Share your opinions!

This all depends on what you are used to. Before I moved I lived in a town and on a busy room, I was used to heavy traffic while I slept and it didn't bother me. Now that I am in the country I can not sleep if I go anywhere where there is such noise and now I need the total silence (apart from the odd bird call)to sleep that I have here.

We sleep with a humidifier running in our room. If it is not running I can't go to sleep very well. If we are staying in a hotel I sleep pretty good unless there is a lot of noise.
